Just another cheap shot at Gabe. Steam has not changed anything about their platform, unlike Sony and Microsoft who have a whole list of changes and lose in their customer base.
Tim Sweeney is taking another shot at Steam.
The Epic Games CEO claims Valve has “held gaming back for years” by locking PC games into Steamworks’ ecosystem.
Sweeney argues that Steam’s social features make it harder for players on PC to communicate cross-platform while also criticizing Steam’s 30% cut.
However, that claim isn’t completely accurate. Valve’s Steam Datagram Relay can also be used across other platforms.
