National Guard has cleaned a total of 3.2 miles and costs more than $1M/day.
It’s about 170X more cost efficient per mile to fund DC’s existing work.

@mattyglesias I think your conversation about education/apprenticeships would be informed by those of us with jobs that have no foothold in the universities...I have a biochem degree but was trained in sales...wound up in rev ops. Neither job is actuality trained in MBA programs.
For my skill set an MBA would have actually moved me away from my core competency even though many jobs exist for me in exactly what I'm good at and the role itself is very new and has tons of room for innovation.

You're worried about his racism and his bad faith arguments. I am too. You're worried about religious arguments winning. I am too. The original atheists were helpful but staying with them is basically a new religion.
My favorite thing about the @ezraklein podcast: he pulls people in by showing his side's weakness intentionally. If you listen closely they can't really handle it. This is the opposite of the "IDW" concept. it lays bare what is happening. #IDW = totally vapid. Just nerdy bullies.
Hey if there's a Liberal version of the heritage foundation i will 100% go to law school and I would clearly consider everything on the merits ;) ;) I have a solid foundation of knowledge and I promise to be impartial. Easy Peasy.

@roddreher just listened to your talk with Ezra and I'm struck by how much he tried to understand you while you kept characterizing the other side so poorly. The difference in empathy seems huge considering how much your side has dominated for so long. Do you have no sense of it?
