It is incredibly powerful to watch Rianna bravely speak out for the first time 🤍 What happened to her must never, ever happen again. The only way to prevent future babies dying is to stop women giving birth in prison - it will never be a safe place to be pregnant.
In September 2019, Rianna Cleary gave birth alone in a prison cell in HMP Bronzefield. When the paramedics arrived, her baby Aisha was pronounced dead. In a broadcast exclusive, she says "the most important thing is that no pregnant women ever go through what I did again."
