START A CONVERSATION ABOUT WOMEN'S RIGHTS! Women’s shared experiences demand collective action. This election season, ask difficult questions, organize, and hold leaders accountable. WoLF is nonpartisan. We endorse no candidates or parties. Our commitment is to women and girls. Whatever your politics, stand proudly for women. Let our new yard flags start a conversation about women’s sex-based rights. We don’t have to agree on everything to defend our shared rights. No party is entitled to women’s silence. On October 21st, WoLF Executive Director Jasmin Faulk and WoLF Board Secretary Sherrie Taha joined the amazing coalition of organizations, advocates, and local supporters to rally for the girls in Camas, WA. We cheered their bravery and their parents’ powerful commitment to ensuring safe and fair opportunities for their daughters. These girls will not stand alone. We remain rooted in our mission to protect every girl from policies that undermine their rights. Frances Staudt (pictured with her mother and Jasmin) is a multi-sport athlete from Tumwater, WA, who knows exactly how hard it is to be a high schooler facing the challenge of competing with a male athlete who is allowed to participate in girls’ sports. As one of the day’s speakers, she inspired and encouraged the Camas girls and reminded us all that every voice matters.

"Elspeth Cypher, [WoLF Board President] a retired Massachusetts Supreme Court judge, said the justices could take up one of the three cases at issue, but the most important factor will be whether the lower court has a record defining “transgender status,” enabling them to make an informed decision." “It is difficult to predict what will happen, but one of the reasons we wanted to represent women’s interest in Withrow is we do not have a clear definition of ‘transgender status’ as it is used in Bostock,” said Cypher. “That is not surprising because different definitions of transgender are used by the trans rights advocates.” Thank you for your reporting, @MiaCathell washingtonexaminer.com/news/…

On October 13, over 12 girls from the Camas cross country team walked off the field in protest of being forced to run against a boy. The night before, five seniors quit the team, including three team captains. Other girls showed up for the race out of uniform and refused to step up to the starting line. These girls showed immense courage, integrity, and solidarity. While I’m so proud of these girls, they should never have been put in a position to become student activists to protect girls’ sports. Adults should have intervened before this ever became an issue. Parents tell me these girls wanted their message seen and their voices heard, but they don’t want to keep doing this. I want these girls to know we’ve heard their voices, received their message, and now adults are taking responsibility for what happens next. On Wednesday, Oct. 21, we will be returning to Camas to hold a rally of support and solidarity for our girls. Courage calls to courage, and the community has heard the call of Camas Courage from these brave girls. As the years have gone by, the issue of boys in girls’ sports has become more and more contentious. There is something WA State adults can do to stop this right now and protect girls’ sports now and forever: vote YES on 638 Fairness in Girls Sports to ensure that girls’ sports remain single-sex. Right now, the rules say any boy can compete in girls' sports simply by declaring a new identity. The rules are unjust and harmful to our daughters. Adults need to know they don't need a permission slip for courage. Now is the time to stand up!

The cowardice from adults when they refuse to stand up for young girls both baffles and enrages me. I’ll never sit by and wait for someone else to go first. That attitude is why it took me two decades to recover from my time in gymnastics, despite all of my successes. Because adults refused to do the right thing. In my frustration with the vast majority of adults (parents!) who have stood by and said nothing when they knew this was wrong, I have neglected to mention all the amazing women (mostly women, some men) and organizations who have been at this & fighting an uphill battle for a very long time. So many have lost so much for taking a stand for biological reality and women's rights. I didn't mean to overlook your courage and toil. I'm just mad at the grown ass adults who watch what happened in Camas and still are too scared to stand up for girls. Again. And again. It just keeps happening as you all know too well. At the risk of leaving out very important people and those people getting mad at me, I'm going to list some who are top of mind for me. @KDansky @Hogshead3Au (first conversation I ever had on this topic was with Nancy in the mid 2010s -- not sure exact year, don't even know if she remembers!) @KnownHeretic @MeghanEMurphy @bindelj @ThePosieParker @WomensLibFront and all the amazing women there @WomenAreReals @CWforA @ADFLegal @HJoyceGender @IWF @Glinner Magdalen Berns, Lierre Keith, Sheila Jeffreys, Janice Raymond... I've forgotten many, I'm sure. Because I am old and my brain is a sieve. So please add yours here below. With a debt of gratitude. We aren't done yet. Nowhere near it.

WoLF proudly supports Colorado Propositions 133, 134, and 135. Together, these initiatives strengthen protections against the sexual exploitation of children (Prop 133), preserve fair and meaningful athletic opportunities for women and girls (Prop 134), and protect minors from irreversible surgeries (Prop 135). We thank Protect Kids Colorado @ProtectKidsCO for spearheading these important measures and encourage Colorado voters to vote YES on all three.

WoLF on the Ground in Maine and Massachusetts! It’s been an exciting week of action! WoLF joined New England Women’s Solidarity and fellow advocates at protests outside women’s prisons in Maine and Massachusetts, raising awareness about the incarceration of male offenders in women’s facilities. In Maine, WoLF volunteer attorney Dawn Harkness joined state legislators and women’s rights advocates in speaking out. In Massachusetts, correctional officers and supporters gathered to demand change. WoLF is also assisting a female Massachusetts correctional officer in her legal challenge against policies requiring her to strip-search male prisoners who identify as women. With growing crowds, media attention, and ongoing legal action, WoLF remains committed to supporting the women affected and keeping this issue in the public eye. Womanhood is not negotiable! @WDI_USA @DIAGdemocrats @TheMaineWire Read coverage of the Maine protest: themainewire.com/2026/10/wom…
