One of the things I remember about my mother was that when cooking, she would clean up as she cooked. And once she finished cooking, everything was clean and in place. Today watch ‘you’. Listen to ‘you’. Observe ‘your’ attitudes and feelings. And ‘when’ you notice something about ‘you’ that doesn’t honor God, clean up as you go. Heaven is looking for those willing to be an ‘angel’ to someone in need. Just know that the opportunity will be more giving than receiving and could cause some inconvenience on your part but also know that God will honor your giving and ‘somehow’ give to you. Have you ever shown someone a picture with you in it in your ‘younger’ years and they don’t recognize who you are? There is a sharp contrast between what you looked like closer to ‘creation’ than what you look like ‘now’ that you have ‘formed’ (gotten older). They look at the picture and say, I don’t recognize who that is (with you being the who). If God were to look at a picture of you ‘now’ alongside who He ‘created’ you to be (which is outlined in the scriptures), would you be recognizable? Let’s surrender to God to be recognizable in our thoughts, our conversations, our actions, our treatment of others…Let’s not risk hearing the words of Jesus at the end of life’s journey, “I never knew you” #created #formed #recognizable

First responders have a need to respond quickly yet with discretion and care. Responding quickly without alertness can further create additional issues needing to be responded to. Being quick to listen and slow to speak is great practical instructions given in the book of James in the Bible. Before responding, listen to your focus level. Car warranties are good to have as long as it’s the ‘right’ situation. Most if not all of them have ‘certain’ things that are not covered. And even for those things that are said to be covered, there are certain stipulations that must be met to receive the ‘help’ that you need. The good news is when it comes to life, God has you covered (.) If (when) you have a break down in your life, submit a claim through prayer with a simple description: God, I need Your help. No online forms to fill out and no signature required as Jesus authorized and signed the need for help with His own blood. And the blood of Jesus will never loose its power to fulfill your claim. You ever experience trying to hear something being said on TV but noise around you (people talking, music playing, etc) served as an obstacle for you doing so? And when what you were trying to hear was deemed as important, you took actions to remove the ‘blocking’ noise (shushing the talking, turning the music off, etc) so that you could hear clearly. Hearing what God is saying to us is ‘important’ and it’s necessary to remove ‘blocking’ noises so that we can hear clearly. What around you is hindering you from hearing God’s voice to you? Growing up in school, there were times when some students needed tutoring in order to strengthen their knowledge and understanding in a particular area. The misfortune was not in the student’s lack of knowledge or understanding; however, the misfortune was if the student did not seek out or take advantage of tutoring that was offered. What areas of God’s will do you need tutoring in? Love, forgiveness, being judgmental, being a living sacrifice, giving, prayer, joy, peace, faith, …? The misfortune is not needing additional help in these and other areas; however, the misfortune is not seeking out and taking advantage of the help that is available. God is a present help who can help you with things from the past, give you daily bread for the now and solidify and equip you to move forward #Tutoring #Help #Grow #GodsWillBeDone #Ask #Seek #Knock

While visiting another city to attend a birthday party for our great granddaughter, I went to a Walgreens to pickup snacks for the evening before returning to the hotel room for the night. One of the items on my list to pickup was a Baby Ruth candy bar for my wife. My intense searching came up empty. And even after a Walgreens associate joined in on the search, no Baby Ruth candy bar was found and I checked out with a couple other items and headed towards our car. About to reach our car I heard someone voicing something behind me and it turned out to be the Walgreens associate running to catch up with me saying, sir I found your Baby Ruth candy bar. As it turns out, the Walgreens associate didn’t just have ‘one’ candy bar but a ‘bag full’ of Baby Ruth candy bars. After returning to the checkout counter to make the additional purchase, there was a ‘special’ going on of buy one bag and get one bag free. And on top of that my wife had $2.00 off from her Walgreens loyalty number. Can you say ‘Winning’ 😊. While at the hotel that night reflecting on the experience, the search for ‘one’ Baby Ruth candy bar resulted in ‘two bags’ of candy bars with one of them being free and an additional discount.
