Elon Musk has requirements for an Super Intelligence to be good for us: it has to seek the truth, and it has to be curious. Speaking with Michael Milken in 2024, he said a maximum truth-seeking AI should never be taught to lie, and that a maximally curious AI is the one most likely to foster human civilization, because we are much more interesting than a bunch of rocks. Elon doesn’t want a machine that flatters us or hides things from us, he wants one that wants to understand the world, and that still finds people worth paying attention to. If an intelligence that powerful is also curious about us, it has a reason to help civilization flourish, not to look past it.

Elon Musk confirms Tesla will rent Optimus robots, not sell them, as build cost falls from about $30,000 toward $20,000 At today's Baron Investment Conference with Ron Baron, Elon said Optimus will initially cost about as much as a car to build, then drop well below that. Asked whether Tesla would rent or sell the robots, he answered: "I think probably rent them."
Renting keeps the fleet and the usage data with Tesla, the same recurring-revenue path Full Self-Driving already follows. Outside deliveries are still aimed around the end of 2027, so this is the shape of the first customer offer before anyone outside Tesla gets a unit. It also lets Tesla pull robots back and upgrade them as the hardware improves instead of stranding early buyers with an outdated machine.

When Elon Musk talks about abundance, I think about people having more room to breathe because the things they need become less expensive to provide. That is the possibility I find compelling in Terafab. Its planned chips are meant to support AI and robots, and if those systems help us produce goods and deliver services more efficiently, the benefits could reach far beyond the technology industry, into the cost of everyday life. For me, that is what makes a chip factory worth caring about. The meaningful version of abundance is not simply having more impressive machines, but building a future in which meeting ordinary needs puts less pressure on ordinary people.

Chinese President Xi Jinping cast his ballot at a polling station in Beijing on Friday to elect deputies to a local people's congress. Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, voted at the Huairentang polling station of the Zhongnanhai electoral district in Xicheng District to elect deputies to the Xicheng district people's congress. Susie Wiles served our country with exceptional strength, devotion, and grace. She has done an incredible job serving our country and President Trump. I am grateful for her service, her friendship, and I wish her continued success in her next chapter. I look forward to continuing to work with Stephen Miller, one of the President’s most trusted and longtime advisors, to advance the President’s agenda.
Today is my last day as White House Chief of Staff.   Serving President Trump in the White House has been the honor of a lifetime. I’m so proud to have been a part of what we’ve accomplished together from securing our border and cutting taxes to strengthening our economy and putting America First. More than anything, I’m grateful for the extraordinary people I’ve had the privilege of working alongside. While my role may be changing, my commitment to the President and the mission never will.

Susie Wiles is one of the kindest and toughest people I've ever met. She helped power the greatest political comeback in American history in 2024, and as the first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff, she led the most productive start to a presidency in decades, even while battling breast cancer. I'm proud to call her my friend and former boss. President Trump made the perfect choice in naming my dear friend Stephen Miller to succeed her. No one is more loyal, more hardworking, or more in touch with the America First movement than Stephen. I have complete confidence that he will make the final two years of the President's term a resounding success. Now is the time to fix what’s not working and double down on all of the victories we’ve already achieved. What we cannot do is fall into despair and hand the country over to the Radical Democrats. Let’s win.

I am especially grateful for First Lady Melania Trump’s leadership in championing women’s health. Today, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are taking an important step toward improving care for women at every stage of life. This is deeply personal to me. Having gone through breast cancer myself, I know firsthand the importance of early detection, medical research, and quality care. I am grateful to the President and First Lady for their commitment to helping women live longer, healthier lives.

President Trump is the most transformative political leader in American History — and he has single-handedly saved America from those who would destroy it. It has been the privilege of my lifetime to have served on his team from Day One, and I am honored beyond words to serve as his White House Chief of Staff. I want to thank the incomparable Susie Wiles for her years of devoted service to the President and the Country, and for her friendship. The mission now is more clear than ever: Fight with all of our soul to support our President and defend this magnificent Republic.
