Dockworkers in 113 ports across 22 countries are taking action together on this international day of action against war and genocide.
Unions across the world are saying no work for war, a halt to the shipment of arms to Israel, and solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Great news.
We've been organizing tenants across Vivmark Residential — the largest corporate landlord in the nation.
Now, more fire is catching. Lawyers just filed a giant class action lawsuit against them for imposing junk fees we *know* are illegal.

This is, once again, why any "socialist" who refuses to address defunding the state forces of repression isn't being "pragmatic" but short-sighted to the extreme. If you actually have a socialist vision for society, the jackboots in blue will crush it with their fascist friends.
🇫🇷 Riot police in Montpellier, France, appear to have cooperated with far-right militants who attacked protesters at a banned march on Oct. 24, according to investigations by franceinfo and Libération based on verified images and witness accounts.
Protests over school conditions and living costs have swept France since mid-September, drawing 410,000 people on Oct. 24, per the Interior Ministry. In Montpellier, a self-styled militia organized on Telegram boasted of "good cooperation with the police," local outlet Le Poing reported. Members beat protesters alongside officers and handed a young man to police, who was later given a six-month suspended sentence for throwing a stone that hit no one, according to Le Poing.
Montpellier Mayor Michaël Delafosse called it unacceptable for people to form a militia and openly boast about it, and said he would refer the matter to prosecutors. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez, whose government denies any collusion, said the groups could be prosecuted.

Sam Altman says its bad that everyone's personal computers are using the world's limited supply of memory chips.
"It’s quite terrible to have everybody have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAMs sitting in their own computer, and being used 5% of the time. Like, you want maximum utilization."

ILWU Locals 2 and 34 rallied today in Oakland in solidarity with the international dockworkers' day of action against genocide and war at 113 ports in 22 countries. (It was a rally, not a work stoppage.) The pics are from Middle Harbor Shoreline Park, courtesy of a union member.

🔴 New Investigation: The son of an Israeli secret agent, Lyor Cohen is the most important man in hip hop having owned Def Jam music & Roc-A-Fella managing some of the most famous rappers & singers. With inordinate influence over the genre, he has made his views on Israel/Palestine clear, and has used his influence to stamp out what he sees as anti-semitism in the industry.
He is now head of YouTube Music, and is working with the U.S. State Department on a new program directly modeled on the CIA’s successful Cold War-era attempts to use American artists to help force through color revolutions in targeted countries.

I have many deep criticisms of El-Sayed's rather milquetoast centrist positions on some big issues, but this media cycle has once again been a masterclass in how mainstream media exists not to REPORT the facts, but to use ideology to try and CHANGE them.
El-Sayed has 95% of Democratic voters’ support—the same as the GOP support for Rogers. But “division” narratives hound only one candidate. Why?

I wrote about the wholly manufactured narrative “Dems are struggling to unite behind El-Sayed”.
El-Sayed has more party unity than Jocelyn Benson, Roy Cooper, Sherrod Brown and is on par with Josh Shapiro and Mike Rogers—so why is he the only candidate hounded by this narrative?

Our friends just filed a class action lawsuit against Secretary of Education Linda McMahon.
She has grossly mishandled PSLF for public servants like nurses and teachers—who have suffered at the hands of McMahon’s incompetence and negligence.
We have to keep fighting.

Today is the international dockworker day of action against war and genocide at 113 ports in 22 countries. A contact from Italy's Unione Sindacale di Base tells me, in that country alone, there are 100k demonstrators in the streets of Rome, 30k in Milan, 20k in Livorno.
So Starbucks will invest a bunch of money in tech that will be used to increase the amount you pay ("personalized pricing") but they won't negotiate with the people actually doing the work of making drinks.
