ALT What is the 'Hype' feature? • Hype aims to helps up-and-coming creators in the YouTube Partner Program get more views and reach new fans by hyping their new long-form videos. • When a video is hyped, it receives points, giving it a chance to end up on the weekly ranked leaderboard (country specific). • The fewer subscribers a creator has, the bigger the bonus in points a hyped video will receive!

ALT Hype Eligibility: • Only available to creators in the YouTube Partner Program with 500-500,000 subscribers. • Only available on long-form (not shorts) videos within the first 7 days of being uploaded. • Currently available to YouTube users in 39 countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

ALT How to Hype: • Go to the video you'd like the Hype on your YouTube app and press the 'hype' button displayed below the video. • Each YouTube account can hype up to 3 videos PER WEEK. ▫ Your ability to hype resets every Monday 12:00am local time ▫ Points will be distributed depending on the number of subscribers the creator has. Less subscribers = more points! • Check the leaderboard to view the most hyped videos from that week. You can also see the videos you've hyped to see if they've ranked on the leaderboard.
