I know there are more dangerous moves out there, but calling Raylen Wilson "boy" twice and smacking him in the head has to be near the top.
Incredible restraint by the Georgia team captain.

Oregonian reports @braidenbellpxp is the Blazers new play-by-play guy. Very impressed with his work.

The Trail Blazers will name Braiden Bell as new television play-by-play announcer. The 29-year-old had been calling games for the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the G League’s Valley Suns:

An update on the Moda Center... Multnomah Co. commission is set to vote on resolution approving participation on new Joint Authority b/w city/county/state. I am told city will discuss and likely vote on this next week. Here's what team said this week.

.@MayorKWilson tells me, in part, “we all have a role to play in supporting a long-term deal where the Blazers thrive alongside our WNBA team, top entertainment acts, and our regional economy.”
Notable part: Silver says it’s important the team reach a deal that allows them to be sustainable in Portland. The team’s contention is the term sheet doesn’t meet that objective. The deal including revenue for Portland is a redline for some councilors. Those two are in conflict.
"For the fans who are worried a deal won't get done, is there anything you can say to reassure them that a deal will get done and the team will stay?"
"Absolutely not. There are no guarantees."

Mayor Wilson said negotiations are going "slower" than he'd like, adding he'd prefer to meet about this with the team every day. The team and city are currently meeting twice per week.
"We're in an active negotiation, and I don't want to mislead anybody. I'm not saying that [a deal] is a foregone conclusion. It's fragile; this relationship is fragile; our ability to keep the Blazers here is fragile." Reiterated city/state/county are committed to reaching deal.
He said some "sticking points" remain:
- rent
- first-class standard
- Portland's livability
- "our request that unions be included and considered."
He remained confident a deal will be reached while acknowledging it's a huge lift.
Fascinating conversation with the mayor today about the state of negotiations with the Blazers. We'll air this Monday after the NFL game. He said "there are some headwinds" (time being one) and said it's not a done deal and doesn't want go give anyone false hope.
Chad Cooley was 24 when the 2nd plane hit the South Tower on that fateful morning in 2001. My colleague @SamiHolmPDX connected w/ him, and we discussed the tragedy 25 years later. He credits his survival to no less than a dozen small choices he made and luck. #September11 1/3
He was working on the 92nd floor when the plane hit the North Tower. He decided to go down and was between floor 60 & 70 when the plane hit the South Tower between the 77th and 85th floors. Two of his colleagues died that day. He talked to us about the trek down. #September11 2/3
Here's the original interview we did with Chad Cooley in 2002. By the way, he married the "fiance" he mentioned here. They have 3 kids and live in NYC. Chad's vulnerability to talk about what happened is something we all benefit from. #September11 3/3 youtube.com/watch?v=DXE4pA7l…
