We'll start small I guess Rogue run was supposed to have all the Wonderweapons in there. They even had someone using the Jotun star in Veytharion's lair during the trailer (but they cut it out) If I had to guess, they cut it because they knew we'd ask for them to implement it in standard/cursed in some way, but that's a complete guess, idk why they actually cut it.
