But there's more to the story
This all centres around Securrency.
This is a firm that had partnered with BOTH Hedera and XDC Network back around late 2022.
Fast forward a year and DTCC acquired Securrency in Dec 2023...
Right around when institutional tokenization began to become a real topic.
Additionally, take a look at what Don Doney, former Securrency CEO & current DTCC Digital Assets CTO said about XDC:
"Securrency & XDC Network have put a serious marker down in terms of innovation within the space"
The acquisiton of Securrency by DTCC has become DTCC Digital Assets in itself.
The release we're seeing now is huge,
But it's just step 1 of a much bigger multi-chain future.

Visa Direct is moving stablecoin prefunding from pilot to production, starting with Inyo Global, so businesses can prefund cross-border payouts with USDC in near real time instead of waiting on traditional funding windows. This is the shift XDC Payments is built for: virtual accounts that settle in USDC on XDC Network, with fiat on and off-ramps to bank payouts, so payout and treasury teams are not tied to banking hours.
