The infrastructure for the agentic economy is finally coming together.
Pairing Yellow’s zero-gas execution with @XRP settlement creates the ultimate high-speed stack.
We are just getting started. 🤝
The thesis hasn't changed since Tokyo. Trustless, high-frequency autonomous interactions powered by @Yellow, settled seamlessly on @XRP.
@AlexisYellow saw the future, and we are building it.
"Yellow allows AI agents to transact with each other without trusting each other. The transactional volume of this is going to be huge and we think XRP is the perfect institutional settlement layer" - @AlexisYellow at XRP Tokyo last week

🚨 XRP + QNT: Are We Looking at Two Pieces of the Same Financial Puzzle?
I’ve been looking much more closely at Quant (QNT) recently, and the more I research it alongside XRP, the more I think people may be making a mistake by viewing these projects as competitors.
They could potentially complement each other.
Think about what is happening to finance.
Banks are experimenting with tokenised deposits.
Stablecoins are becoming institutional products.
Real-world assets are moving on-chain.
Payments are becoming programmable.
Different blockchains need to communicate with each other AND with existing banking systems.
The question becomes:
Who connects everything — and how does the money actually move?
This is where XRP and QNT become very interesting.
🔵 XRP / XRPL — THE VALUE & SETTLEMENT LAYER
The XRP Ledger was designed for moving value quickly and cheaply.
Transactions settle in seconds, with extremely low fees, and Ripple is now building far beyond its original cross-border-payments story.
XRPL is increasingly being positioned for:
• Institutional payments
• Tokenisation of real-world assets
• Stablecoins
• Decentralised exchange/liquidity
• Lending
• Custody
• Institutional DeFi
Ripple says more than $1 trillion in value has moved between counterparties using XRPL-related infrastructure, while its regulated stablecoin RLUSD has grown into a multibillion-dollar asset. (Ripple)
Ripple is also continuing to expand regulated financial infrastructure around the world, including its European MiCA authorisation and investments in tokenisation and capital-market infrastructure. (Ripple)
So XRP isn’t simply a bet on somebody using XRP to send £500 abroad.
The bigger thesis is:
Could XRPL become one of the major settlement and liquidity networks used by the new digital financial system?
⚠️ BUT HERE’S THE QUESTION QNT HOLDERS SHOULD REALLY BE ASKING
It’s NOT:
“Can banks use Quant?”
We’re increasingly getting evidence that they can.
The much more important question is:
Does increased usage of Quant technology create increased demand for the QNT TOKEN?
Quant’s own terms explicitly describe QNT as a utility token that customers may use for Quant products/services, including staking. (Quant)
But we need to see just how strongly massive institutional adoption translates into QNT being:
Bought.
Held.
Locked.
Staked.
Or otherwise removed from liquid supply.
Because imagine Quant technology eventually facilitates hundreds of billions or trillions in transactions…
If very little QNT is required, Quant the COMPANY could become enormously successful without QNT holders capturing the same value.
But…
If substantial QNT is required to operate/access this infrastructure, then suddenly having only 14.88 million tokens becomes extremely interesting.
That, for me, is the key thing to watch.
🚀 AND THEN THERE’S XRP
XRP has almost the opposite situation.
The supply is enormous compared with QNT.
But its potential addressable market is enormous too.
Cross-border payments.
Liquidity.
Tokenisation.
Stablecoins.
Institutional DeFi.
Real-world assets.
Capital markets.
And Ripple continues building regulated infrastructure around that ecosystem rather than relying purely on speculative crypto adoption. (Ripple)
So I’m starting to view these as two different bets:
🔵 XRP
A bet that XRPL/XRP becomes an important part of the global digital value and settlement system.
🟢 QNT
A bet that Quant becomes an important interoperability layer connecting the fragmented networks that financial institutions will use.
And here’s the really interesting possibility…
Both could be right.
The future probably isn’t:
“One blockchain wins.”
It could be hundreds of blockchains, private networks, tokenised bank deposits, CBDCs, stablecoins, legacy payment rails and digital asset networks all interacting.
And if that’s where finance is heading…
the winners may be the technologies that move the value AND connect the systems.
XRP + QNT.
Two completely different supply models.
Two different jobs.
Potentially the same revolution.
I’ll be watching both very closely. 👀
Not financial advice — do your own research.

I fought the @SECGov on behalf of 75K #XRPHolders and warned the industry that the government’s overreach was not limited to #XRP & @Ripple. I was also amicus counsel in @LBRYcom and later in the @coinbase case.
I did all that legal work pro bono. In the Ripple case the judge cited my brief and the 4K affidavits I submitted declaring “XRP itself NOT a security.”
Then the SEC acted arbitrary and capricious and denied the #BTC ETF and many then saw that I was right. Then the SEC sued Coinbase, Kraken and the rest.
If you think I’ve done anything worthwhile, its a great time to donate. Only 29% of voters believe Ed Markey should be reelected.
Although Republicans are outnumbered 3-1 in MA, in public polling - I lead Markey among independents (called unenrolled voters in MA).
And 67% of voters are independents.
We win if we raise the money to reach them.
🔥XRP — BREAKOUT HOLDING, BUT $1.50 IS THE REAL TEST
⚡ XRP SNAPSHOT — ~$1.49
Fresh market readings have XRP around $1.49, extending the move from roughly $1.47 at 13:00. That means the earlier break through $1.43–$1.45 has not immediately faded — encouraging after the weekend consolidation.
🎯 $1.45 = first support | $1.50–$1.52 = BIG resistance.
One useful reality check: XRP’s longer-term two-week RSI recently sank to around 33.5, its lowest recorded reading on that timeframe. That’s extreme momentum weakness, but not automatically a buy signal; price still needs to confirm the reversal.
Inference: BTC’s powerful market-wide squeeze is likely helping XRP.
And still no evidence that Wintermute or another market maker’s inventory hedge should be interpreted as a directional XRP short.
🚨 CRYPTO RADAR — SHORTS ABSOLUTELY HAMMERED
This is today’s dominant market story.
Bitcoin is around $85K–$86K. CoinDesk reports $746.6M of crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours — $647.9M of them shorts.
But here’s the particularly interesting bit: despite shorts being wiped out, open interest increased 7.59% to ~$156 BILLION. Traders are putting positions straight back on rather than leaving the market.
And institutional buying hasn’t disappeared: Strategy bought another 950 BTC for $75.7M, its first weekly Bitcoin purchase since late August.
👀 MY READ
This is considerably better than yesterday.
XRP has gone:
$1.39 → $1.47 → ~$1.49 🔥
But $1.50–$1.52 is where I stop celebrating and start watching closely.
🚀 Break and HOLD $1.52 with volume → genuine technical upgrade.
🟢 Pull back but defend $1.45 → still constructive.
⚠️ Lose $1.45 quickly → today’s breakout becomes suspect.
XRP ~$1.49 | $1.50 IN SIGHT | BTC ~$85–86K | ~$648M shorts liquidated | momentum firmly back with the bulls.
⚡ XRP — $1.45! THE RECOVERY JUST TOOK ANOTHER STEP
🚀 XRP SNAPSHOT — ~$1.45
Fresh CoinGecko check: XRP ~$1.45, +5.3% over 24h, with roughly $4.20 BILLION traded.
That’s up from ~$1.42 at 13:00, and importantly XRP has now pushed through the $1.43–$1.45 zone we were watching.
🎯 $1.40 = important support | $1.43–$1.45 = needs to become support | $1.49/$1.50 = next major battle.
🔗 NEW ON-CHAIN SIGNAL
Here’s something genuinely useful that wasn’t in the last update: XRPL reportedly processed 2.34 million transactions in the 24 hours through Sept. 18 — up 8.9% day-on-day and above its 30-day average, according to data attributed to XRPScan.
That’s a confirmed network-activity datapoint, not proof that XRP must rise. But stronger underlying usage occurring alongside the price recovery is worth monitoring.
No credible evidence has appeared that changes our position on Wintermute or other market-maker hedges: inventory hedging ≠ directional short bet without evidence.
🌍 CRYPTO RADAR — INSTITUTIONAL MONEY RETURNS
Fresh ETF numbers show U.S. Bitcoin spot ETFs took in ~$433M on Sept. 18, while Ethereum ETFs attracted roughly $144M. Fidelity reportedly accounted for about $311M of the BTC inflows, while BlackRock led ETH with roughly $114M.
That adds some institutional substance to the broader crypto rebound rather than this being purely leveraged speculation.
👀 MY Read
This recovery is becoming harder to dismiss.
We’ve now tracked XRP:
$1.27 → $1.30 → $1.35 → $1.40 → $1.45. 🔥
But $1.50 is the big one. That’s where I’d expect a much tougher fight.
If XRP can establish itself above $1.45 and then take $1.50 with convincing volume, the short-term chart changes considerably.
⚡ 17:00: XRP ~$1.45 | +5.3% | ~$4.2B volume | XRPL activity +8.9% | $1.50 IS NOW IN RANGE.
⚡ XRP — HOLDING $1.29, BUT HERE’S THE ACTUAL NEW STORY
🟢 XRP SNAPSHOT
XRP: ~$1.29, confirmed on CoinGecko, +0.4% over 24h with about $3.62B traded. Volume has dropped roughly 39% versus the previous day, so yesterday’s panic activity is cooling.
Compared with our ~$1.30 morning check, XRP has slipped fractionally rather than breaking out.
🎯 $1.27–$1.28 support | $1.30 immediate hurdle | $1.34–$1.35 recovery target.
🚀 NEW: RIPPLE PUSHES XRP INTO AI PAYMENTS
Ripple has expanded its developer toolkit to support automated payments using XRP and RLUSD, integrating with the payment standard being developed by Stripe and Tempo.
The tools are designed to let AI agents autonomously pay repeatedly for services and manage wallets across blockchains. That’s an actual XRP utility development rather than another price rumour.
📉 DERIVATIVES — LEVERAGE HAS BEEN CLEARED
Fresh derivatives reporting has XRP funding turning negative across major venues after leveraged longs were flushed out.
That’s important but shouldn’t be oversold: negative funding means shorts are paying longs; it doesn’t automatically mean a short squeeze is coming. Spot demand remains the missing ingredient.
And as always, market-maker hedging — including positions attributed to Wintermute — isn’t evidence of a directional bearish bet without proof of intent.
🌍 CRYPTO RADAR
The broader crypto market is actually green: global market cap is around $2.71T, +1.14%, while SOL is outperforming at roughly $99.66, +2.5%.
Bitcoin remains around the $76K area, but there’s another macro cloud forming: U.S. diesel prices have reportedly hit a record $6.29/gallon, reviving inflation concerns just after the Fed returned to rate hikes.
👀 My Read
XRP has stopped falling, leverage has been cleaned out, and today we’ve finally got a genuinely interesting Ripple/XRP development rather than recycled CLARITY headlines.
But price still has to prove it.
Hold $1.27–$1.28 → reclaim $1.30 → then $1.34/$1.35 becomes interesting.
⚡ XRP ~$1.29 | +0.4% | volume cooling | negative funding | Ripple expands XRP into AI-agent payments | $1.30 remains the immediate fight.
