Many Nigerian doctors I've spoken with admit they only truly understood pathology when they started studying for the USMLE. Med school pathology was a blur of cramming, struggling to get 50 and scale through. The problem is that scaling through means you have a shaky foundation through the final years of medical school and struggle more than you need to with Medicine and Surgery and all the subspecialties. So we're taking everything we've learnt about how students learn and building an all-in-one tool that gives you the most bang for your buck with limited time and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Our goal with patandfam is to create a comprehensive learning platform that reduces the anxiety of your 2nd MB exams while giving you just the right depth of understanding you need to move through your clinical years with confidence. pat and fam is coming 馃殌 patandfam.com

If someone has a stroke in Nigeria, they are almost certainly f****d. There are less than 10 hospitals in Nigeria with a dedicated stroke unit. Meaning they have a VERY slim chance of avoiding permanent brain damage of they live outside a handful of communities in the country. You MUST learn to prevent stroke for yourself and your family.

A student can spend years breaking academic records in Nigeria & barely get noticed. We need to become a country where intellectual excellence is celebrated just as loudly as every other form of success.

Had our second round of interviews for @pakohealth today. Nigeria has a lot of great talent. Don't let anyone fool you.

The reality of Nigeria, A medlab scientist in FMC ASABA is only entitled to use a pair of gloves per day, despite seeing an average of 10 patients a day, how..? He sanitizes his gloves with spirit after each patient, yet the government is buying prado to campaign for elections.

Oh look, a new one. Time will teach you many things dear med student.
JSYK An average medical student from UI or OAU is not on the same level as an average medical student from Babcock or ABUAD.

Then again...
I went through medical school. That is a lifetime's worth of "something that will kill you". You guys can carry on. I've had enough.

Your bedroom should be cold, dark and boring. If it鈥檚 also your office, gym and movie theater, your brain never gets the signal that it鈥檚 time to sleep.

I think med students should ABSOLUTELY use AI to study if they want to. It's the job of us educators to show them the right and wrong ways to use AI so it helps them instead of hurting them.

Unpopular opinion: your results with AI depend heavily on how smart you are.

Opus 5.5 is amazing at everything except knowing how long a task will take. No, this is not a day of work, robot man. You will do it in 20 minutes.

After some amazing UX interviews, we've upgraded our viva feature to a proper coach using a lightweight AI. More than just listening for keywords, this coach can synthesise your response, tell you what you got right or wrong, and nudge you to do better on the next round. @patandfam

Okay I officially need a faster computer. This Air obviously wasn't built for this level of abuse.

100% of medical students use AI to study. I ran UX interviews over the weekend with med students from across Nigeria using the Jobs to be done framework. Before testing my product, I asked them about how they studied. They ALL used AI, and each in very creative ways. I learned that the bar is high for a truly disruptive study tool. Which is what I'm building with @patandfam patandfam.com
