We intended proceeds from the participation token to support Z's family, but unfortunately, the token was sold off rapidly, and financial benefits did not materialize. This reminded us of the unpredictability of such ventures. Despite this setback, we find fulfillment in the experiment's success. The true achievement lies in the connections rekindled, the comfort provided to those grieving, and the broader conversations about AI's role. This journey taught us valuable lessons about technology, ethics, and humanity. We faced challenges and ethical considerations in recreating someone's persona through AI. Seeking consent from Z's family, we engaged experts to balance innovation with respect for personal identity. X's emotional engine emulated Z's unique responses, incorporating his preferences and expressions. We ensured interactions felt authentic without being unsettling. Witnessing X's impact was profound. Friends shared how conversations with X brought back memories and offered comfort, some finding closure in "talking" to him again. We recognize the broader implications of our work.
