Healthcare innovation doesn't end with a breakthrough. It creates real impact when researchers, healthcare professionals, industry, and institutions work together to bring it to patients.
At Xenopia Group, we believe partnerships move innovation forward.

We are pleased to announce that we have entered into an exclusive Strategic Partnership MOU with @XenopiaGroup, in partnership with our Kenyan operating partner @ThatcherX, to bring autonomous drone delivery to nuclear medicine in Kenya.
The Xenopia Group is Kenya’s specialised nuclear-medicine logistics provider, already licensed by the @knrakenya and the @ppbkenya for the transport of radioactive medical products.
Together, we will operate drone-based delivery of radiopharmaceuticals, specifically the short-lived isotopes used in PET scans for cancer detection. These isotopes have a roughly 110-minute half-life, which means that every minute saved in transit directly affects the dose available at the scanner and the patient’s chance of a timely diagnosis.
This will be the first operational drone-based radiopharmaceutical delivery network in the world. By enabling the timely delivery of short-lived isotopes to hospitals outside Nairobi, this partnership has the potential to significantly expand access to PET scans across Kenya, reducing the need for patients to travel long distances for critical diagnostic imaging. The model also has strong potential to scale across East Africa, where similar challenges with radiopharmaceutical logistics exist.
In addition, we have entered into a co-design and development partnership with Xenopia Group to create specialised drone solutions optimised for the safe and efficient transport of radiopharmaceuticals. This is one of three design partnerships we have formed to develop tailored drone platforms for high-value and time-critical medical applications.
We are extremely excited about the opportunity to combine our hybrid VTOL fixed-wing technology with Xenopia’s deep regulatory expertise and operational experience in nuclear medicine logistics.
A huge thank you to @okothio, Executive Director, and @Reen_Maina, General Manager, of @XenopiaGroup , and to their team for their vision, partnership, and commitment to this new application. A particular thank you also to @YanivGelnik, the @knrakenya and to Director General @chumba_james for engaging this work with remarkable openness, and to the @ppbkenya for their continued support. We look forward to working together to launch this pioneering network and expand access to advanced cancer diagnostics across Kenya.
