We are hiring a Postdoctoral Researcher!
The Xiang Lab is recruiting a postdoc to study the molecular & cellular mechanisms of coral–algal symbiosis.
NSF-funded project using Symbiodiniaceae mutants + Aiptasia to interrogate symbiosis and its response to environmental stress.
Grateful to receive a 2026 Early Career Faculty Research Excellence Award from the University of California Office of the President. Thank you @UofCalifornia and @UCRiverside for the recognition and support of our research! 🪸

@BerkeleyLab
This work builds on my postdoctoral research with Dr. Grossman and was completed with outstanding contributions from students in my lab, Stephanie Peak and Eric Huitt.
Excited about this work! Grateful for the support and partnership from @jgi and our collaborators!
Replying to @jgi
By comparing heat-tolerant & heat-sensitive dinoflagellate algae, @Xiang_lab of @UCRiverside will ID genetic switches controlling photosynthesis under thermal stress, providing insights to improve bioenergy crop resilience. @JinkersonLab @UCRBCOE
