Instead of checking my phone first thing, I set up an agent to make a "morning newspaper". It prints while I sleep. I used grokbot @bot to pull from my calendar and email I made it available if you wanna try it 👇

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 1. I wanted to comment on what is happening in Malaysia and the world today. 2. But I find it very difficult. 3. There are too many strange things happening. And mostly they are not good for mankind. 4. Firstly, there are two unnecessary wars. But tens of thousands of people are being killed nevertheless. The deaths, the wounded, the losses of property, the losses are enormous. And no one does anything. There is nothing gained. 5. Then we have an elected leader of a country being arrested by another country. 6. Then we have assassinations of leaders not at war with the assassin country. 7. Then suddenly a country is attacked and the leader killed. That started a war. Now the aggressive country bomb and rocket that country. That country bomb and rocket the bases of the aggressor in several countries. 8. The reason for the bombing and rocketing is because these are the bases from which attacks are carried out. 9. Then Israel occupies a part of another country. Then claim this country was harbouring terrorists. 10. And many more incidents needing to be commented upon. 11. The world is in a state of turmoil. 12. Governments cannot function. The people challenge the authorities with street demonstrations by hundreds of thousands and even millions. 13. Then there are countries striving to become democratic. Civil wars break out. The countries became unstable. 14. The war-genocide of Gaza by Israel continues. Even during the ceasefire, the Israelis bomb and rocket Gaza. By now 73,000 Gazans have been killed. 15. The whole city of Gaza has been reduced to rubble. But the Gazans still try to live a normal life. 16. They actually organised sports events such as the marathon, football, karate classes. They change their occupation, becoming stall-holders and opening shops. 17. There is a war between Ukraine and Russia – a silly war as Ukraine cannot defeat Russia. But thousands die, whole cities destroyed. 18. At home it is no better. There are many court cases. Funny judgements are made. People committing small crimes are punished. Those stealing millions are freed and appointed to high posts. 19. Funny leaders lead many countries. They also make funny decisions. 20. And so, it goes on. Endless events happen. Nobody seems to care. DR MAHATHIR BIN MOHAMAD 24 August 2026

Depth-aware light injection in TypeGPU I got a 448x448 monocular depth model down to ~8 ms on my M4 Pro across ~250 dispatches, which is fast enough to use in realtime :D Since the inference is written directly in TypeGPU, I can just feed the depth buffer straight into the lighting pass. It never has to leave the GPU or go through any extra synchronization/interop step Inference, lighting and draw all go through the same command encoder.

I’m not a developer but my first app reached 100,000 downloads in just 9 days. I built it to solve a problem I was struggling with myself. Turns out thousands of other people were struggling with the same thing. #codex

Building goSolat in 2026 feels unfair. GPT-5.6 Sol helped me fix animation glitches, improve performance, and clean up the app in a fraction of the time. Indie developers have never had this much leverage. 🥺❤️

Introducing Clips - 100% free, open source, agent-native alternative to Loom Unlike Loom, agent's can fully understand Clips just from a URL. Every Clip comes with APIs and metadata for agents to explore their contents. Agents can "see and hear" anything in a Clip - not just transcripts, but everything visually in the video at any timestamp. Easily share bug reports, feedback, analyses, or anything else in a way that you can easily pass to agents to use to improve products, reports, or more. Also unlike Loom, you own the software, so no one can jack up prices on you suddenly like Loom did to us. Clips is made to be customized. The built-in agent can customize its own code, so you can personalize the app to your needs and workflows. This, in my opinion, is the future of software. Open-source, forkable, customizable with agents, to make your own personal version of anything. You can also import Looms just from a URL and upload videos as well. I got so sick of telling people "don't send me feedback as looms, I can't pass those to agents, I need text and images" that I had to just solve this once and for all. There's a free hosted version you can use too, or fork and self host yourself. Will link to both in the replies.

This 8-minute clip from Diary of a CEO is quietly devastating. Dr. Annette Bosworth brings a simple $60-70 dual glucose/ketone meter on set and tests everyone live, first thing in the morning. The numbers don’t lie: Dr. Boz (stops eating at 3pm, long-term ketogenic): Glucose: 83 mg/dL Ketones: 1.7 mmol/L Dr. Boz Ratio ≈ 49 → deep fat-burning state Steven Bartlett (ate late the night before): Glucose: 86 mg/dL Ketones: 0.9 mmol/L Ratio ≈ 95 → still good, but noticeably behind Dr. Boz Jack (lean, high-volume runner on the team): Glucose: 88 mg/dL Ketones: 0.1 mmol/L Ratio ≈ 880 Dr. Boz: “That’s trash being made and never taken out. Welcome to my clinic in 10 years.” Key revelations in just 8:52: - Late-night eating destroys next-morning ketones, even for someone in their 30s - Sunrise cortisol releases stored glucose every single day, like an automatic unpaid meal - Dr. Boz’s twenty-something sons now voluntarily stay in ketosis for sustained focus at law school - Most “fit” high-carb endurance athletes she tests sit at 0.1-0.3 ketones and don’t realize the long-term cost You can buy the exact same meter and strips and know your own numbers tomorrow morning. This short segment is one of the clearest metabolic reality checks I’ve ever seen. Who’s checking their ketones this week after watching this?

When I first spoke out about the genocide, I was one of the few voices in tech, and it came at a cost. I faced sabotage especially from the VC class: lies, leaks, threats, and blocked investments. It was painful, but I never once regretted standing up for the children in Gaza. Today, the tide in tech has shifted. The truth is undeniable. If you’ve been holding back, now is the time to speak out and call out anyone supporting or celebrating genocide. It won’t cost you much—in fact, it will earn you respect, and more importantly a clear conscious. Plus, alienating those who will hate you for speaking is a feature, not a bug.
