TRIBE v2 is an AI model by Meta that predicts how the human brain responds to what we see and hear, trained on 500+ hours of fMRI scans from over 700 people. Over the course of the past month we have been running this process in reverse.
Excerpts of each of these three methods are shown alongside sounds generated through the same principle as the pixel and Fourier noise videos—by firing a raw 16 kHz sound waveform at the model and steering it toward each region's strongest activation.

"Report 5923 is a sci-fi film following the protagonist, Shevek, on her journey between three different planets whilst compiling what seems to be an ethnographic report. Sound, sonic warfare and audio-as-virus are reoccurring themes throughout the story, which more broadly deals with notions of world-building and techno-optimism."
seeing artists like Y7 using @elevenlabs and other tools to combat - as @shumonbasar calls it - ‘the mid-ness of Midjourney’ always leaves me in awe. can't wait to see what comes next... 🛸
that nick land clip from the 1994 documentary 'visions of heaven and hell'. wonder if someone somewhere has the full version of this.
