“Under God” was added to the Pledge of Allegiance in 1954, not invented in 1954.
The exact wording was actually inspired by Lincoln:
“that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom” - Lincoln, Gettysburg Address
The concept dates back to 1776:
“the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God” - Declaration of Independence
The constitution itself is even dated:
“in the Year of our Lord 1787”

1) Obamacare ACA started 2014. Health insurance prices skyrocketed.
2) By 2021 it was so expensive, Biden and Dems passed temp subsidies to hide the cost of Obamacare.
3) Dec 31, 2025 the 2021 subsidies expire.
Democrats want the temporary 2021 subsidies to continue forever in order to hide how much of a disaster Obamacare has become.
If they could, Democrats would increase the subsidies even more to further hide the disaster of Obamacare policy requirements.
Why is Obamacare ACA messing up health insurance? Before the ACA, the individual health insurance market sold cheaper, less comprehensive plans. This made sense for many people, particularly young people who rarely have any serious issues.

FACT CHECK: Democrats claim their spending bill won't fund healthcare for illegals, citing federal law.
However, their proposal explicitly repeals the One Big Beautiful Bill's (OBBB) reforms that banned taxpayer-funded Medicaid and CHIP for illegals, which saved $185 billion and removed 1.4 million ineligible enrollees.
By undoing these protections, they restore a system that previously funneled billions to non-citizens before 2025.
Media and Democrats should stop the spin and acknowledge the implications of their bill. American taxpayers deserve better.
