Each one is inspired by the anatomy and movement of spiders, centipedes and other crawling organisms, and is built from three simple forms: the point, the square and the circle. Each crawler lives on a website modeled after Wikipedia. Once released, it explores the page and responds to words, images and hyperlinks as the viewer guides it through the browser. Its movements produce sound, and the information it collects feeds a simple language prediction system that writes new text below the original page.
