In case anyone doubts the possibility of peace against all odds, I'd say the head of Germany's Luftwaffe, in an Israeli hospital, donating his own blood in support of the Jewish nation, makes a strong future pro-possible case even if right now it seems unthinkable
The Inspector General of @Team_Luftwaffe , Lt. Gen. Ingo Gerhartz, donated blood at Sheba Hospital in Israel. We thank the German people for their solidarity with Israel and the injured in the aftermath of Hamas' massacre on October 7. 🇮🇱🤝🇩🇪

Israel will not gain any international popularity regardless of what happens at the polls because the professed Netanyahu haters really just hate Israel and don’t even care or know that he was long known as a Gaza dove.

This is where I should remind everyone that a prior Liberal prime minister, Mackenzie King, actually *did* seek a strategic partnership with Nazi Germany despite the rhetoric of its leadership and its repression of the German Jewish population.
This is an important article w insights into Cda’s new foreign policy. If this were the late 1930s, Carney would be developing a strategic partnership w Germany despite the rhetoric of its leadership & the imprisonment & disappearance of thousands of Jews. Because as the PM says, his job is human rights in Cda, not elsewhere. He says “engagement is not approval”. No, but it is acceptance and that’s all the autocrats need. This does not reflect Cdn values. So disappointing.

Literally, "it was OK until Jews did it."
Michael Walzer published “Just and Unjust Wars,” an attempt to delineate the rights and wrongs of warfare in both its causes and its conduct, in 1977. In the nearly 50 years since, no other book on the subject has matched its influence. The precepts are not complicated: it is just to defend your country from an invasion and it is unjust to invade a country that has not attacked you—although Walzer does allow for exceptions, mostly for humanitarian causes. It is just to assume certain risks to avoid civilian casualties and it is unjust to bomb towns indiscriminately to compel an enemy to surrender. The justice of going to war—what philosophers call jus ad bellum—is separate from jus in bello, the justice of how a war is fought. The war in Gaza has made Walzer rethink one of the book’s fundamental principles. “The wall between jus ad bellum and jus in bello, which had sustained his theory for almost half a century, was no longer sturdy,” Jordi Graupera writes. As Walzer said to him, “There is a sense in which the carnage of Gaza, the ongoing carnage, simply made the war unjust.” Read about why a philosopher of war is now reconsidering his seminal work: newyorkermag.visitlink.me/T7…

This is one of the most antisemitic things I've ever seen in a political ad, and it's for Abdul El-Sayed. The message: your life is hard, groceries are expensive, and the Jewish state is why. Total madness!
This is one of the most comical ads this election cycle. Yes, Americans are chatting at the grocery store about how they can’t buy groceries because their tax dollars “go to Israel” 🙄 😂 nevermind the fact that Israel has invested 100% of military aid in the U.S. economy since Oct 7, and has also purchased over $1 billion *additional* in arms, according to DoD. Federal military aid is also prohibited from being spent on anything other than U.S. arms, so the line about healthcare is even more comical. El Sayed and his Islamist fans like Cenk Uygur want and expect American voters to be so stupid they never check. Not only is this ad insane, conspiratorial, and antisemitic — it is also flat out false. El Sayed isn’t for the people of Michigan, he isn’t even for America. He is for the Muslim Brotherhood.

The BBC has agreed a £400,000 payout to a Jewish documentary-maker, Lucie Kon, who was bullied out of the broadcaster. She said that she was victimised in the wake of the October 7th terrorist attacks by colleagues who said Zionists such as her were "evil" and told her, "if you want to call Hamas terrorists then you have to call Israel terrorists, too." Adding that she should "think about what drove Hamas to do what they did." Such dishonest, false moral equivalence between a country defending itself and a terrorist group. It’s not surprising that the BBC has this type of culture flourishing in its workplace. We can see it in their reporting. The BBC has still not apologised. Appalling.

Jonathan Greenblatt is correct, but it's not just desperate, it's evil.
You want to know what desperate looks like? Blaming the price of bananas on the Jewish state. Consider that PAC ad just another example of scapegoating the Jewish state. At least we can thank them for a case study in antisemitism.

New low for normalized Jew-hate in the American Democratic Party. Very sad: Painting your political opponents as puppets of Jews, as this El-Sayed ad does, and as crazed baby-killers and money-grubbing villains who are the root cause of every bad thing not just in the world, but in your life—from wars to the price of eggs to the reason you can’t have free healthcare—is not just low-grade Jew-hate. It’s pure Third Reich stuff, translated directly from the original German. Do you remember when Jewish Democrats in Michigan explained that they would vote for El-Sayed despite his open disdain for Jews, since there are many other important issues they need him to fight for? That anything was worth it to “defeat MAGA”? Well, here’s El-Sayed’s answer to them: Don’t worry, all those issues we agree on, like healthcare, inflation, and climate change, I’m going to make them about Jews too! I will tell the public that the Jews are the reason they can’t have those things.

How morally depraved do you have to be to claim Jews are ‘weaponising’ the horrendous bullying of our children in schools? We are up against racists who claim they are good people as they do everything they can to attack British Jews.

Wow I don’t know if the bigger problem with an ad saying “you can’t afford groceries anymore because of Israel’s desire to kill Palestinians” is the ad or the fact that the El-Sayed team ran with this knowing the antisemitic message works.

Western students are baffled by the concept of liking your own nation and fighting to protect it.
Googled him, saw he was leading a centrist party, then saw it was labelled as "Liberal Zionist" and that his son was killed in Gaza. Israel continues to be fucked.

The choice to rename Arab Israelis as “Israeli Palestinians” does not reflect how they actually identify. Only 13% of Arab Israelis consider ‘Palestine’ as important to their identity. Most focus on being Arab and Israeli. Western media erase that and it’s gross.

Hey @SkyNews 👋 Arab Israeli here. Allow me to set the record straight: there are no “Palestinian citizens of Israel” and your attempt to erase our identity and belonging in this country is racist, inaccurate and offensive. Can you imagine saying “the Mexican citizens of the United States” simply because one is Latino? Less than 15% of Arab Israelis identify as Palestinian (and most polls have it closer to 7%). You don’t get to decide what our identity is.
Could Palestinian voters tip Israel's election? Sky's @adamparsons looks at whether Palestinian citizens of Israel can turn their votes into meaningful political influence in this week's election

Mehdi admitting he is ok with harassing British school kids because of the actions of a government of an entirely different country is only surprising because he normally hides his antisemitism
The revealing admission in @mehdirhasan’s post - which he completely misses, accidentally or not - is that rising anti-Israel hatred fuels rising attacks on Jewish school kids, because they are Jewish.

Repeat after him: there is NO majoritarian ethnonationalist project that is not racist. None.
