ALT Our Director, Art Cleaves, has officially announced his retirement. Those who work with Art know he’s been saying “I’m retiring next year” for at least six years, but this time it’s for real! After nearly 12 years of steadfast leadership, Art will end his tenure as Director of York County EMA on January 1, 2027. Art has led York County through some of our most difficult emergencies and disasters. Just as importantly, he has mentored many emergency managers, first responders, and community leaders and built the rich partnerships that will help keep our county safe for years to come. There is no way to measure the difference Art has made in our community and to the lives of emergency responders all over the nation. Read more about his service over the years and stay tuned for an official invitation to celebrate his impact.
