Sad to hear about the passing of Benjamin Zephaniah. A wonderful spirit. A masterful poet, musician, creative & an advocate for young people, creativity & the arts.
This tribute to creativity came out of a project that Colin was privileged to be a part of.youtu.be/fI9vDzGhZDY?si=UCfJ…
An all too rare opportunity to discuss all things culture, arts, learning and partnerships. We’ll be represented in the morning panel discussion.
We have a limited number of school bursaries available to cover the cost of staff taking a day away from teaching to attend our upcoming Conference in partnership with @LEEDS_2023, @UniversityLeeds, @IVEBridge, @UKRI_News and @Spiritof2012.

We could not be prouder of our Year 3 children today. Despite being the youngest on stage, there were no nerves, just lots of happy children performing to an appreciative audience of fellow dancers from all over Yorkshire @YorksDanceFest @WeAreBDAT @carriageworks_

What an exciting event to be part of! Amazing performances at the Yorkshire Dance Festival today with some stunning choreography. @YorksDanceFest @carriageworks_ @WeAreBDAT
Leeds came alive for 2 very special days. Big thanks to our performers, their teachers, our volunteers and the partner organisations. Dance is alive and kicking in schools - we just give it the platform it deserves.
James Drury always captures our events perfectly... & it's not always easy! Quick rehearsals, low lighting, fast paced activities.
Here's a shot from the first day of the Festival. He's smashed it again! Check out his profile @james_a_drury & his website james-drury.com.

This week! We can't wait😁.
400 young dancers will descend upon the @carriageworks_ for a day of dance - they'll perform, they'll choreograph, they'll participate... they'll be inspired.
Produced in partnership with @LEEDS_2023 and @YorkshireDance
Big thanks to the following orgs & artists delivering activities at this week's Yorkshire School Dance Festival - @PDTeducation, @leedscitycoll, @CATNSCD, @LEEDS_2023, @YorkshireDance, students from @NorthernSchool & Jemma Mae
The 400 young dancers will have an AMAZING time!
Amazing to hear that some of the @NorthernSchool students supporting delivery of the 2023 Festival have taken part in the Festival in previous years!
Here's a shot of @CAPACOLLEGE performing in 2019 - 4 years later and one of the performers is now a part of the Festival team😊.
