2 -> 7 -> 6 followers this week LOL.
Should I be happy or sad? I lost over 10% of my users and don't know why š
How do other feels about that? How do you start building up a twitter presence?
Free tutorials donāt put the right materials on your table. I like the idea of selling someone a project they can actually finish, especially when their finished version is something theyāll want to show their friends.
$5.3M in sales from beginner crochet kits š
And youāre still looking for another app idea.
The Woobles sells kits that teach complete beginners to crochet little animals. Their penguin kit is $30 and comes with materials and step-by-step video tutorials.
The founders reported $5.3M in sales after roughly two years when they appeared on Shark Tank in 2022.
Free tutorials already exist. The kit saves a beginner from figuring out what to buy and where to start. Youāre paying to actually finish your first penguin.
The opportunity is to find another small project people would love to finish but donāt know how to start. Design your own kit, film the instructions and test a small batch with actual beginners.
You could use code to make the learning experience better. Iād probably build the entire tutorial platform before checking whether anyone could follow the first video š
Indie devs should seriously reconsider only building apps.

Ā£11.8M in annual sales. They sell pottery nights in a box š
There are people building serious businesses around getting us off our phones.
Pottād reported Ā£11.8M in sales for the year ending July 2025 in the FEBE Growth 100.
Their home pottery kit currently sells for £44. It includes 2kg of air-dry clay, tools, paints and instructions. You can make things at your kitchen table without buying a kiln or a pottery wheel.
The business has expanded into other creative kits too. The opportunity I like is packaging a hobby into something a beginner can actually try this weekend.
You could test an original kit around one project, like making a set of plant pots. Source the materials, write clear instructions and get a few people to try it before ordering a room full of stock.
Film what they make. A couple trying to sculpt each other would probably be more fun to watch than another AI demo.
I can build the shop. Finding a product people want to spend their Saturday with is the part worth figuring out.

This is why your tiktok views are reducing in the last weeks
1. It's pre christmas
2. Tiktok wants to earn from you
3. They seem to be aggressively pushing creators that are selling via their tiktok store
Don't freak out, it's currently happening to a lot of people
Ā£16.3M in annual sales selling party games š
One of their products is a £20 game with a foam microphone.
Lucky Egg reported Ā£16.3M in sales for the year ending December 2025 in the FEBE Growth 100. Thatās across the companyās games.
Grab The Mic costs £19.99. You flip a word card, think of a song containing that word and race your friends to grab the mic and sing it.
Watching someone panic and forget every song theyāve ever heard is a pretty good product demo. The company says its games have generated over a billion social views.
This is an interesting business to test because you can make the first version out of paper. Come up with your own game, play it with friends and see whether they want another round without you explaining why itās fun.
Then film people actually playing and get quotes for a small production run.
Iād be tempted to turn it into an app immediately. A box people bring to a party might be the better product.

META IS ATTRIBUTING MY ADS WRONGLY
Is anyone experiencing the same:
1. I log precisely which user has which attribution
2. Meta tells me someone bought b/c of e.g. an instagram ad
3. I see that it was actually a facebook ad.
Who do I trust?
ā¬2M revenue opportunity from a mug that says āfuck Valentineās Dayā š
The rest is āI love you every dayā, with a personalised couple on the other side.
Adtributeās archive lists this Love & Faith ad at 9.9M EU reach over 385 days. The brand currently sells a photo version of the Valentineās mug for ā¬19.95.
At a ā¬20 price point, if 1% of 9.9 million reached accounts bought a mug, that would be ā¬1.98M in sales.
I like how little explaining this needs. You see the joke, think of your partner and understand the gift immediately.
You could test your own version of this business with original designs and a print-on-demand supplier. Pick a relationship, hobby or in-joke you actually understand, order samples and photograph the real product.
You donāt have to launch a catalogue of 500 mugs. Start with a few designs for the same audience and see which ones anyone wants.
Iād probably build the customisation tool first. The useful test would be getting someone to buy a mug.

The doormat example is why Iād pick the customer before designing the product. āA gift for your friendās first homeā gives me a much clearer starting point than āIām launching an e-commerce brand.ā
ā¬2.7M revenue opportunity from putting family names on a doormat š
Famwalls lets you put your familyās names and little shoes on a doormat. Thatās the product.
Meta lists this ad from January 2024 to February 2026, with estimated EU reach of 6.64 million. More than two years for a personalised doormat.
At its current price of roughly ā¬40, if 1% of those reached accounts bought one, that would be about ā¬2.7M in sales.
I would absolutely have dismissed this while trying to come up with a āmore originalā app idea.
The version Iād test would be a housewarming gift for one specific audience. Make a few original designs, work with a print supplier and order samples before spending on ads.
The software is useful here: show the personalised design immediately and generate the production file automatically. You donāt need to invent a new material to give someone a product they want.
Indie devs should reconsider only building apps. Sometimes the opportunity is sitting outside someoneās front door.

If you can show the problem and the fix in ten seconds, you already have a useful starting point for an ad. I like that a lot more than needing three paragraphs to explain why someone should care.
ā¬9M revenue opportunity from a wallet š
And some people are still stuck choosing which agent they want to work with š
Essentialbag sells a slim wallet with cards that pop up at the press of a button. The current listing starts at ā¬59.
Meta shows an estimated 15.18 million EU accounts reached by this ad between July and November 2025.
If 1% of those reached accounts bought a wallet at ā¬59, that would be roughly ā¬9M in sales.
The pitch is wonderfully obvious: your wallet makes a massive lump in your pocket, this one takes up less space and makes your cards easier to reach. You can demonstrate that in seconds.
For someone starting out, Iād look at everyday carry products with one annoyance you can visibly fix. Order samples from existing manufacturers and test the mechanism, materials and finish before deciding what to sell.
You could start with one product and a small batch. Thereās no reason to build a whole lifestyle brand before anyone has bought the first one.
Finding a reliable supplier and getting the product right makes this business harder to copy. Thatās why I like it.

Maximum amount of sauce on meta ads that I've read in a while.
I couldn't believe how dense and informative this was and whatever I already "know" about ads, is confirmed by this guy.
Will definitely try this strategy to make ads profitable.

I like businesses where using the product creates the next piece of content. A customer painting their first home gives you something much more interesting to show than another screenshot of a dashboard.
Ā£700K revenue opportunity from turning peopleās photos into painting kits šØ
Adtributeās archive lists one Craftoria painting ad at 2.6M EU reach over 130 days.
The brand also sells a custom kit from £27: upload a photo and get a numbered canvas, matching paints and brushes. You could spend an evening painting your dog instead of downloading another app.
Apply that reach to a £27 custom kit: if 1% of 2.6 million reached accounts bought one, that would be £702,000 in sales.
This is an interesting business for someone who can code. Turn a photo into a paintable design, let the customer preview it and send the production file to a supplier.
Iād test one narrow version first, maybe peopleās first homes. Order samples, actually paint one and film the result. A design that looks good on a screen still has to be enjoyable to paint.
Indie devs should seriously reconsider only building apps. There are plenty of people who would rather buy something to do with their hands.

HOW TO GET FAST ORGANIC GROWTH ON SMALL ACCOUNTS.
I just watched the video, and I saw a very interesting idea that totally makes sense.
1. You start a new account
2. You create organic content
3. You buy "follower" traffic for this content.
4. => You teach the algorithm who your target audience is so it learns this faster.
This video is about Facebook marketing, which I think makes total sense. Depending on your target audience, I've seen conversions on Facebook much better than on Instagram for specific types of products.
Has anyone tried this technique before?

A map preview, two names and a date could become a ā¬35 gift. Iād probably spend the weekend making the preview perfect before remembering to order an actual sample š
ā¬2.2M revenue opportunity from a fridge magnet š
And youāre still looking for another app idea.
Sketchmeup puts the place where a couple met, their names and a date onto a little acrylic fridge magnet. It currently sells for ā¬34.95.
One ad reached an estimated 6.24 million EU accounts. If 1% bought a ā¬35 magnet, that would be roughly ā¬2.2M in sales.
The interesting part is how much of this a developer could automate: the map preview, personalisation and print-ready file.
Iād start with one occasion, like a first anniversary. Make an original design, find a printer that works with acrylic and order a few samples. Then test whether people will buy it before building a catalogue of 200 gifts.
You still have to get the printing and delivery right. Thatās also the work that will make some competitors lose interest.
Being able to code is an advantage. Only considering businesses you can code is a restriction.

What an interview on SEO: rankings.io/pim/210-kyle-rooā¦
Biggest takeaway: keep the url, meta title, h1, and paragraph text all mentioning the same keyword that you want to target.
Clearly, "gift" was not the right url for my custom gift guide to my product (sorry, still in stealth!)
