It was great to join @MayorofLondon @rushanaraali @tomcopley and many friends and colleagues yesterday to discuss the development of the Mayor’s new Plan of Action to end rough sleeping.
At @NACCOMnetwork we want to ensure that ending migrant homelessness is part of that plan.
After years of underinvestment from the previous government, rough sleeping will get worse before it gets better.
I’m working with Ministers, boroughs & homelessness experts, including those who’ve slept rough, on our plan to get people off the streets & rebuilding their lives

We are devastated to hear of more tragic and avoidable loss of life in the Channel. Our thoughts are with the loved ones of those who died. We urge the Government to introduce safe routes for people to claim asylum – the only meaningful way of preventing further such tragedies.
