I was so hyped to talk about glaciers I couldn’t keep a straight face for Wednesday Addams.
People laughed at my jokes. Victory.
There were music, animations, and jokes. I feel like a showman, giving the talk of my 1000 dreams @geosociety #GSA2023
I uninstalled X bc I don’t like the stuff it pushes me. But I reinstalled it momentarily for a life update:
I’ve been to #Antarctica now! Woohoo! Childhood dream came true! :) Truly a life changing journey and can’t wait to see what’s next :)

Start off your week with a little inspiration from your fellow geoscientists & more fantastic memories from #GSA2023!

Weekend relaxation: I sketched up a mission patch for my #Antarctica project. #ScienceCommunication
I wish I have the money to print 200 of these out as stickers and hand it to people.

ALT This mission patch represents the project objective in studying how nature elements distribute and cycle in the Antarctic sea ice and seawater environment. One gentoo penguin is in parka and the other one in lab coat 🥼 🧪 the ocean, iceberg, and clouds are in traditional Chinese and Japanese style. The overall structure of the mission patch is a Yin Yang Taichi pattern ☯️ representing the balance of nature 😌

I have a dream where GSA has a session for all things icy everywhere. Does anyone have similar dreams and maybe we could propose a session together? 👉👈
Scientist from California preparing for her Antarctica expedition at Santa Cruz Boardwalk. I’m glad things are going wrong now instead of in the field.
My term as @GSA_SAC past chair is ending soon and 🥺aww I will miss serving on Council! It was a very eye-opening experience @geosociety
I would encourage everyone to nominate or self-nominate students to be on Student Advisory Council today: geosociety.org/gsa/about/lea…
:0 it’s me!
What an amazing week it has been for our #geoscience #community! We hope that you had a fantastic experience at #GSA2023 & we are truly inspired by all of the exceptional people that continue to shape the future of geoscience.

Happy young geologist at the night at the museum with students and @geosociety fellows. Roaming in a museum after hours was my childhood dream.
Corinne’s first time at @geosociety #GSA2023
She’s having a blast at posters, asking questions at talks, and checking out awesome instruments at the exhibit hall. She even presented, can you believe that?!
My heart felt warm when I gazed downstage and see a pretty full room.
People asked me if I’m giving workshop on how to make attractive presentations. Some said they look forward to me presenting my PhD work next year.
I’m fueled with motivation now!!! Go forth 😎
Thanks for coming Jeff! :) it was such fun giving a talk at @geosociety #GSA2023

Finishing touches of my slides for tomorrow’s presentation.
Come see my talk on glaciers in @YosemiteNPS at #GSA2023 tomorrow Tuesday 9:35 am, Rm 321.
Or you might have nightmares of missing my talk and would never know what dark jokes I made during the talk.

Come to the GeoCareers Center (Room 403) and participate on our interactive poster and learns about SAC! Student, nominate yourself or others for SAC positions:
#GSA2023
There was so many hours that @geosociety council worked to create such amazing platform for a transparent student leadership selection process.
This effort originated from my proposal as SAC Chair a year ago! If you want to make big positive impact within #GSA, join SAC!
For the first time, any GSA student may now nominate themselves to run for election to an open position on the Student Advisory Council! Nominations are open from 1 October through 31 December and may be made via the link below. geosociety.org/gsa/about/lea…
Haha I’m really getting all the ribbons @geosociety #GSA2023
By the way, if you say hi to me I might give you a sticker for my research I’m presenting on Tuesday morning.
