You're arguing a scenario that didn't happen. An OCD post made for OCD awareness month spreading awareness of a symptom of OCD is the appropriate place, it was reposted here in bad faith. Nobody is even being racially traumatized they're THOUGHTS

feeling hopeless asf black cis ppl on the timeline downplaying transphobia and non-black trans people downplaying anti-blackness . really funny how all these discussions leave out black trans folk or both of the things they suffer from get downplayed
The issue with Twitter users is that they're genuinely soulless monsters and probably want people with horrible intrusive thoughts to kill themselves
Now don't @ me but I personally think part of the misunderstanding of what intrusive thoughts are comes down to illiteracy. Intrusive is in the name. What does *intrusive* mean?
If OCD was just how the human brain worked it wouldn't be a diagnosable mental illness so that's why I'm lost

i also have ocd.....that's just how the human brain works. string of thoughts and behaviors just do mot randomly appear in people. your environment and education are the key factors in order to have those strings of thoughts
The issue is nobody did that. It was a general post talking about a reality of OCD (racist intrusive thoughts) that got reposted onto here. People should be able to talk about the effects of OCD without people who don't understand it jumping to calling them their worst fears
I think it's entirely reasonable to be wary when it comes to nonblacks and the potential of them being racist but I feel like also purposefully misunderstanding OCD and its effects are harmful for like everyone. The person in that OCD post is objectively not racist
It's an intrusive thought. Intrusive because they do not WANT to say the n word but their brain is going actively against what they want. You'd never know it was happening unless they tell you which usually they will not.
