The sun sets on another limno-tastic year at the world's freshwater laboratory...
A massive thanks to all of you who made 2024 such a year to remember.
We look forward to seeing you—at the lakes or online—in 2025.

It surprises me that we have not beaten Hollywood, Bollywood & Nollywood in making movies.
We are so good at performative stuff and PR.
We convince so many that we are the most environmentally friendly.
That we organize the best elections in the world…
That we have the best ….

Citizen TV are saying that the Police Service held two brainstorming sessions today; to discuss why their officers are increasing being overrun by protesters. They say Interior CS Kithure Kindiki and Police IG Japhet Koome were absent to enable the juniors feel free to open up.
One of the issues raised during the stormy meeting was that frontline officers are demotivated because they're yet to be paid allowances due to them for sacrificing their lives battling armies of protesters, while other officers decried favouritism by their Seniors who assign tasks based on reasons not related to merit. It means those sent to the frontline are increasingly watching over their own safety and security just like their colleagues who were favoured to stay back in the office.
Bwana even the police have decided they will no longer sacrifice their lives for Ruto and Gachagua to continue running their mouths, and we will be there no matter what.

CS Interior casually ordering police officers to shoot protesters is pure cowardice. Does Kindiki strike you as someone who has ever shot anyone? Dear Police Officer, you have a duty to disobey illegal orders like that. Give Kindiki his guns and let him shoot us himself.

“If you're emotionally attached to your tribe, your religion, or political leaning to the point that truth and justice becomes secondary considerations, your education is useless, your exposure is useless. If you cannot reason beyond petty sentiments, you’re a liability to mankind" - Dr. Chuba Okadigbo

Kenya 🇰🇪 hates its young and youth so much. The political class are the enforcers of this hatred: why do I say so? Here is why:
1) CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT - Ksh. 1,050
Payment For: Not Being a Criminal
2) HELB CLEARANCE - Ksh. 1,000
Payment For: Not having outstanding arrears
3) E.A.C.C CLEARANCE - Ksh. 500
Payment For: Not Being Corrupt
4) CREDIT REFERENCE BUREAU – Ksh. 2,200
Payment For: Not having Debts or Loans with Financial institutions
TOTAL - Ksh. 4,750
Payment For: Not having a job
THE BIG QUESTION
Where can someone who is looking for a job get Ksh. 4,750
