1. That’s reasonable, but I would expect higher xG conversion from strikers vs 10’s and wingers, and he has the history to suggest he can/should be an elite finisher. So maybe not that unsustainable when chances are created 2. Fair, and that’s a team comp, balance question. What are our strengths and where/how do we want to win. Is it worth doubling up on such a similar player to Evander.. haven’t seen that work often

Understand that, but two things. 1. Denkey pre injury and squad changes was top 5 in the league in goals and at .61 actual goals/game not xG. Dominant. Came back to a completely different dynamic and tried adjusting to a new role. Not an apples to apples comparison. 2. Not an individual sport and roles within the squad matter. Denkey provides far more to the rest of the team beyond goals in buildup, offensive spacing and defensive pressing.

Completely disagree, Brenners lack of energy and focus destroyed our ability to press teams down the stretch of the season. Cannot have him and evander and hope to control space, teams consistently targeted him and successfully transitioned. It’s brenner or evander, and that’s clearly evander.
