Seventeen years ago today, on the college campus of BGSU, I played my first DJ gig on a pair of Technics 1200s that I worked two jobs in the summer to buy, with a Gemini mixer I got for $30 on eBay. Before I started DJing, I was on my 4th college, running out of student loans with no life direction and zero goals. Since then, playing music has taken me around the world and introduced me to some amazing people and experiences. Thank God for allowing me to get into DJing because it literally saved my life. I never take for granted anybody that decides they want to spend their free time (and money) at an event where I’m playing music. It’s a blessing to be able to provide people with a good time through music. It’s been a bigger blessing to be able to pass on my experience and knowledge to other DJs and artists / creatives to eventually help them go further than I ever have. To every club bar restaurant fundraiser wedding baby shower repast birthday party tailgate festival and all of the events in between I’m thankful. If you’ve ever heard me play a song, thank you for listening. I hope I can continue to provide you with the soundtrack to your most memorable moments.
