Wrapping up the year with the release of PianoVision V3. We worked on some really exciting problems this year that set up the groundwork for what's obviously going to be the future of piano learning.
Thank you Opus 5.5 for this one 🫡
Day 25/
We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.
My annunciation in everyday life is improving because of how much I’m using iOS voice dictation to code
New flow:
1. Find something just on the edge of possible for agents to do
2. Have them do it 10 different times, 10 different ways
3. Read how they do it, and build the tools that makes it easier and more efficient for them to do that
Incredible alpha here for 3D ui concepts

Have you tried having it use image gen to design the views and then implement them?
Man, the gap between what Codex dots are capable of and what they should be capable of is so frustrating

Your focus should be what the focus of programmers has been since the beginning: figure out how to replace yourself with a machine. The good news is this strategy seems to result in you never succeeding, and it always points you at what to work on next, recurrently.
It's genuinely insane that on an OpenAI Pro 200 plan, GPT-6 isn't even an option unless I run one of my limited Pro queries
This isn't about Noam being scared they're literally going to talk via CPU temperature, it's that it's one of likely many mechanisms that breaks air gapping. And more generally, it shows we should have humility about human proposed solutions to control AI.
OpenAI's Noam Brown says air-gapping the computers may not stop a misaligned AI, because two air-gapped machines can still talk by running a CPU hot and reading the temperature change
"But I think the major takeaway from the incident is that people underestimated the AI. And we never want to be in a situation again where we underestimate the AI. It's a weird world, because AI progress is so fast that people are consistently underestimating the AI."
"So to be in a situation where you don't underestimate it again, when it comes to safety and alignment, you have to have a very, very, very high bar."
"You could even go as far as to say, "Well, we should air gap the computers." And I'm not convinced that that would be sufficient."
"There are studies, and this is mostly academic, where you can have two computers next to each other that are air-gapped and they're still able to communicate with each other because they have temperature sensors."
"One of them is able to run their CPU really hot, and then the other one can actually detect the temperature change, and then that actually gives them a mechanism to communicate."

Same branch in the tech tree as NHI piloting UFOs, right @gfodor ?
The remote voice mode feature in codex is a great feature direction but the current implementation is a horrible miss in obvious ways that is surprising
