Let’s be clear: Trump and Elon are illegally seizing government resources, accessing your private medical and financial data, and firing – without cause – thousands of employees. They are not looking for waste or fraud, they are circumventing constitutional checks and balances and breaking the law.

Trump is trying to get rid of the employees who help your parents and grandparents with their Social Security checks, who help your friends and family after a flood or a fire, and who take care of injured vets after they come home from a deployment.

Trump is telling America’s top scientists that their research funding may be cut off if they use words he doesn’t like, including “women,” “gender,” and even “historically.” The U.S. government funded research that led to the creation of the internet, MRI machines, GPS, touchscreens, Lasik eye surgery, commercial space flight, and more.  He cares more about censoring science and speech than he does about progress.

Trump fired the head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and issued a stop-work order for staff.  These federal workers go after predatory businesses, shady data brokers, and scammers who target you. Since the agency was created in 2011, the people working there have recovered $19.7 billion for Americans who’ve been wronged. The budget for the entire agency is less than a billion dollars a year.

Now Trump wants to shut it down. A billionaire who doesn’t pay his taxes…wants you to pay more money to pay your taxes.

Trump shut off funding for Head Start programs across the country. Food, healthcare, and schooling for your kids – shut off. “It feels like a rolling blackout,” a Head Start leader said. Study after study show that children who participate in Head Start are more likely to graduate from high school, attend college, receive a professional license or certification, and earn higher wages as adults.
