Sen. Cory Booker is introducing three bills to stop the Trump administration from renaming the USS Doris Miller, an aircraft carrier honoring a Black Pearl Harbor hero, after the president. Doris Miller fought for a country that wouldn't even let him train on the gun he used to defend it. His name belongs on that ship. nbcnews.com/politics/nationa…

Some of the NAN Corporate Office staff kicked off Rev. Al Sharpton’s 72nd birthday weekend today with a special lunch and birthday song.
While Rev. Sharpton didn’t partake in the food because of the strict diet regimen he committed to years ago, the birthday love was certainly felt and appreciated.
72 years old tomorrow, still moving forward in his right mind and in good health. All glory to God.

Standing before thousands yesterday in Florida’s Polk County, JD Vance said Florida’s Black candidate for Senate Angie Nixon doesn’t “belong in America.” Great replacement theorists think only wealthy White people—and their servants like Byron Donalds and Marco Rubio—“belong” in the US. “Imagine standing on the shoulders of the ppl who built this country & then telling their descendants they don’t belong here,” Nixon responded. “This is my home."

'White personally investigated 41 lynchings and eight race riots. On several occasions, his identity was discovered, forcing him to flee for his life. The evidence he collected helped the NAACP expose the brutality of lynching to Americans and strengthen its campaign for federal anti-lynching legislation. His experiences also influenced his 1929 book, “Rope and Faggot: A Biography of Judge Lynch.”
