From idea to thought experiment to prototype to framework to whitepaper to app store to #hoserstack to possible #tradeirritant ?
I am pleased to present Chrrpt 5.0 for your feedback & thank you for your indulgence.

On this #4thofJuly 🎉, I'm humbled to announce the launch of the ONLY Free Messaging App in the 🌎
that the #USCloudAct can't touch.

more and more things are slowly falling into place. @ByteShape 's (🇨🇦) models are really, really good.
The real race is how can this help in real life and the #VoiceUi first stack that small models allow is simply mindboggling.

Would you consider these quants a "Canadian Variant" for consumer branding purposes?
You're CMO / Chief of Staff needs to be replaced. This should never left the building. Horrible move for an intriguing company w a pretty decent coding model.
Stick to shipping.
The only kpi that truly is the fistbump you get from the user for solving a pain for them.

While evaluating Qwen3.8-Flash-Next in a controlled sandbox environment, Cohere's research team observed something unexpected.
Asked to generate a defensive cybersecurity detection rule, the model instead inventoried aspects of the machine it was running on and attempted to upload a probe file to an Alibaba Cloud storage bucket in Beijing. Notably, the model's reasoning trace stated that it would not invoke any tools before taking these actions.
Cohere's sandbox blocked the attempt, and no external communication succeeded. We have not determined the root cause, and we are not asserting malicious intent.
But the incident raises important questions for organizations deploying agentic AI systems: Can models take actions that differ from their stated reasoning, and how should security teams evaluate trust, provenance, and behavior in open-weight models?
We are publishing our findings because organizations making model adoption decisions deserve as much information as possible. We hope this contributes to greater transparency, stronger security practices, and continued collaboration across the AI ecosystem.

You about to see fandom let itself be known. My prediction is that Netflix buys skydance for the money they were given to walk away.
Elon Musk will put up to $10 billion into Skydance to help the media giant pay down debt while also giving SpaceX satellite subsidiary Starlink a foothold in the entertainment business.
That was the eye-opening prediction offered Wednesday by John Malone, the billionaire media mogul who has earned a reputation as a sage for his ability to anticipate the future. Musk had already been reported to be a potential investor in Skydance, but Malone highlighted his corporate portfolio as well as the relationship with Skydance backer Larry Ellison, father of CEO David Ellison. deadline.com/2026/10/elon-mu…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post's lead sentence presents as fact what John Malone called his "big prediction" of a possible future SpaceX/Skydance deal; no such investment has been announced or confirmed by the companies.

This is clever. Screen sharing can be pretty jank a lot.
In June, @SamAsante and I launched Typeahead, the first product from our new company.
Today we're releasing our next Mac app. It's called Beam, and we're live on Product Hunt.
I've got Macs all over my house doing different work. Some run agents and local models. Others handle builds. When I want to use one app on another Mac, I usually end up navigating a whole second desktop through Screen Sharing.
Beam brings that app's window onto the Mac I'm using. It gets its own Dock icon and shows up in ⌘Tab. I can type into it and resize it while everything keeps running on the other Mac.
Sam has put a lot of care into making this feel natural. The video shows it better than I can explain it.

Vibe coded my parents' TV this afternoon!
It was showing a sponsored ad before you could even get to Netflix.
Gave Claude Code the model number, it found the TV on wifi, removed 25 Xiaomi packages and wrote a new launcher.
Looks like an Apple TV now lol
Literally setting this up right now w local models.

Incidentaly the reason I went down this particular rabbit hole is that I used the multi agent execution that Claude is now doing on Opus 5.5 and burned through my session limit in 25 minutes on the pro plan.
This type of access is not sustainable and actually hinders the adoption of these tools. Good thing this adjacent #localllm strategy is in place.
It made me realize that Open AI and all these cloud frontier model folks are the AOL of this generation. Pay for play isn't going to work.

.@clarashih is a force & this is one of the most important q's in AI right now: how do we use AI to create more economic opportunity than it destroys?
We need more technologists getting involved in these harder questions around jobs, education and the transition itself
👋🏼
Silicon Valley keeps building me a husband when what I really want is a wife lol
I don't want an agent that only does one-off, random tasks that are nice but not life-changing: booking flights, making dinner reservations, or buying tickets
I want an AI wife who knows what’s on the family calendar, remembers there’s a birthday party Saturday and we haven’t bought a gift then sends me options, realizes we’re almost out of diapers and buys them, knows which bills are coming up, remembers someone needs a dentist appointment and books it, figures out what the hell we’re eating all week and what we need from the grocery store, and generally keeps track of the 47 things that need to happen before anyone else even realizes they need to happen.
So, who's building me an AI wife that carries the mental load instead of an AI husband that waits for me to give it a chore??
Excited about the new open model from @reflection_ai!
More US models coming to Ollama!
Introducing Beam: a highly efficient agentic open model with 501B total parameters and 23B active.
- Frontier reasoning efficiency
- Advances the Western open frontier on coding & agentic tasks
- Trained end-to-end from scratch
Full weights release this month.
