To all my followers: I don't care what time of day it is, if you ever are in need of someone to vent at or need someone to talk to, my DMs will always be open and I'll try my best to respond. Some days all we need is an impartial person to listen to our problems.

breaking up a woman and her girlfriend to pair her up with the most random man in the cast is the kind of psychosis i only see in homophobia motivated crackships

Making trans rep crystal clear: "Man how about some subtlety in writing for once"
Making trans rep more subtextual: "No, this character is and will always be Cis even if the creator herself says otherwise"
Moral is just write whatever you want and those people can get over it
For those who refuse to read the articles about this case. She had a babysitter coming in the mornings to check in, make lunches, get them off to school, and prep dinner for them. All the 14 year old had to do was help them get inside after school. Microwave dinner. Get kids in bed and text mom updates. This was a work trip and they threatened to fire her if she did not go. The father has abuse charges and the police handed him their kids on top of arresting her.
A 50-year-old woman was arrested after getting off a plane after authorities said she left her four children home alone for four days while she traveled to Las Vegas for work: bit.ly/3UlVZeA

Phalloplasty was developed for veterans who had their dicks blown off during WW1 you fucking moron. It’s a procedure older than heart transplants.

Claire is such good and inoffensive trans rep and people despise her. I often talk about the psychosis trans people induce in other people just by existing. Claire just being in the game is enough to make transphobes melt down. That can’t be a healthy way to live

Having a cis straight guy best friend quickly makes you realize most queer theory has a very clunky and invalidating real world application.
My best friend will go “yeah Sam you’re a woman and I really don’t think about it any harder than that” and it’s miles better

Wildwood is @LAIKAStudios most ambitious and wondrous film yet. Every frame oozes with incredible detail. Action sequences are beautifully choreographed and executed. Characters are deeply explored and nuanced.
It’s also Laika’s simultaneously cutest, most violent, and scary film yet with lots of adorable animals, action, and warfare. I was left shocked at multiple moments. It’s definitely not young child appropriate, as there are several scenes that could be quite upsetting. But the stakes felt incredibly real.
All in all it’s my favorite Laika film yet, with Paranorman and Coraline bringing up 2nd and 3rd place. 9.5/10
This has been an incredible year for movies, and Wildwood is so far the film of the year for me. It deserves to be watched on a gigantic screen, and I will definitely be seeing it again before it leaves theaters.

Hot take: I actually liked that the parents had questionable morals in the end. It made them feel more human while also pushing Prue to do the right thing in the end.
