This isn't true and is an example of a fake quote. However I think the message is very relevant. Don't let criticism over one mistake overshadow all your uncelebrated successes.

The book I have co-authored with @Zoezebra for @Sage_Publishing is out in the wild! We are so passionate about play and can't wait to hear what you think of this book... #EYFS #Riskyplay uk.sagepub.com/en-gb/eur/the…

Dave 'The Biscuit', who gives treats to the dogs in our local park, is in hospital 😔 He's 90 and doesn't have family nearby.
We dog walkers have set up a schedule so he has as many visits as poss. My slot is this afternoon. That's what a real community is all about 😊

Watch and learn. 👀 🧠
I’ve written often about how infants learn language not just with their ears, but with their eyes.
But I’ve rarely run across a better video example than this lovely moment shared to IG by seanandcaitlin.
Watch this back and forth closely. As mom speaks, our hero (shown here just shy of 8 weeks old) puts his newfound visual acuity to good use - studying not just the sounds she’s making, but the way mom’s mouth moves to produce them.
And watch how closely he manages to mimic her - repeating her greeting over and over again.
He’s not yet vocalizing the sound. But make no mistake: That little mouth is parroting the movement of mom’s own. He’s saying “hi.”
This video helps to illustrate the ways in which language learning is fundamentally social - happening best through engaged, face-to-face interaction with loved ones (and not through prolonged exposure to media).
Prioritize face to face time with your baby. It unlocks the whole world for them.
A fabulous day embarking on the #OPAL programme with @PlayLearnGrowG1 today. What an absolute privilege it is to see yet another school passionate about play and determined to do the best for all their children! Thank you for inviting @PlayScotland along on your journey!
5 wisdoms from @MisstahCook at the #CALAConference2025 - from the swirling mass of paperwork and guidance to the child at the centre…
1. Be led by the little people
2. Pave your own path
3. Be curious and research-informed
4. Take a developmental approach
5. Have fun!
All set for an exciting day at #CALAConference2025 today in Inverness

Just received a fabulous message from a local business and school family who’s donating 145 daffodils to school so each child can give one to their Mum on Sunday 🫶💛
And men wonder why we’d choose the bear. Read this post and some of the replies for other examples. The world is narrowing for women if we can’t take a taxi or go and buy a car safely now.
Reposting from Facebook, please share:
‘Ladies especially might want to be aware when getting taxis.
Early this morning my sons girlfriend ordered a taxi on the Bolt app for my son to get to work. When the taxi came matching the one that came up on the app, there where three other men sat in the back!
The guy driving after seeing my son stood there, decided he wasnt a taxi after all and drove off! So, we've got a taxi, full of blokes expecting the passenger to be a young woman which to me is alarming in the least.
This was reported to Bolt who's reply was "its a bit of a bummer that the taxi driver acted unprofessionally and would look into it "...
I want to ask this taxi driver, Khurram, why he's rocking up with three other blokes in the back of his cab expecting to pick up a young lady passenger for a start...🤬 absolutely fuming!’

Aslan is on the move. Perfection! ❤️
This is what I wrote about @chrismccausland last week. Tonight is the final and we’ve literally bought a new television, like people did for the coronation in 1953. Everyone in the final seems lovely but, come on, #GoChris. ❤️🏆
