Markwayne Mullin Crouched Behind the Chairs on Jan. 6. Then He Hugged the Officer Who Shot Ashli Babbitt. Will @StephenM advise @POTUS to fire him?
On Jan. 6, 2021, Markwayne Mullin was photographed crouched behind the chairs in the House chamber while Capitol Police held the barricaded door at gunpoint.
Listen to what he did next. He found the officer who shot and killed Ashli Babbitt, gave him a hug, and told him, "Sir, you did what you had to do."
Ashli Babbitt was an unarmed 14-year Air Force veteran. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd shot and killed her as she climbed through a broken window into the Speaker's Lobby.
Mullin's big concern? The officer's feelings. He says Byrd had never pulled his weapon like that before, didn't want to use force, and was "physically and emotionally distraught."
Think about that. He ducked behind the seats while other men held the door. Then he went looking for the guy who killed a female veteran so he could comfort HIM.
Not one word of that is about Ashli. That isn't compassion. That's a coward picking a side.
And this is the man Trump voters got running the Department of Homeland Security.
Mullin was confirmed March 23 after Kristi Noem was pushed out, and he came in on Susie Wiles's watch. Wiles was one of the senior voices who urged Trump to dump Noem. Now Wiles is out as chief of staff, and Mullin is still sitting on top of ICE.
ICE agents get swarmed, rammed, and doxxed every single day. They need a Secretary who stands in front of them, not one who crouches behind the chairs and saves his hugs for the wrong side.
Starting Monday, Stephen Miller is White House chief of staff. He has the president's ear and the power to advise him to fire Mullin and bring in a true hardline enforcement leader who'll give Trump voters exactly what they voted for.
Do you want Mullin to continue to run DHS into the ground or should he be replaced immediately after Stephen Miller becomes chief of staff?

The House passed Tim Burchett’s No Tax Dollars for Terrorists Act in June 2025. A Senate committee advanced an amended version earlier this year, but it still hasn’t passed the Senate. John Thune should explain why. This is another reason I want different Republican leadership. Getting a bill through committee means little to taxpayers if the Senate never finishes the job.
I don’t want one penny of my tax dollars supporting the Taliban, directly or indirectly. There is nothing unreasonable about demanding that our government keep American money out of their hands. I expect Republican senators to do their jobs and put safeguards into law, not leave this bill waiting month after month. John Thune is the leader, and he needs to answer for that failure. If he won’t get this done, Republicans need to remove him as leader and choose someone who will.

In Galveston County official results show Ken Paxton beat the freak. Many Texans are now looking to Govt Abbott & LTG Dan Patrick to hear them & do a statewide audit - not a risk limiting audit that only counts a fraction of the votes but a real 100 percent audit that includes the cast vote records and verification of citizenship. If the leaders still in power do not do the right thing, if they ignore what is blatantly obvious & once again bury the fraud, then are we to understand that they have been bought off?
