@NovaRiftbound @Zrob0 you guys are doing god’s work with this ODE system at sac showdown. Have not waited more than 5 mins to get into a pod. Everything is so smooth. This is genuinely the best ODE experience I’ve ever had. THANK YOU 🙏 @riftboundop take notes, ODE’s are solved
Today, TopDeck is running On-Demand events digitially at LDXP Sacramento! We've already fired over 40 trials and counting. If you're a player at the event please give me any feedback you have, I'm hoping this made signing up for on demands smoother than waiting in a long line.

So basically, today PHP got two critical bugs that let anyone run code on your server without even logging in, which is bad, and then the details leaked before the patch was even out, which is worse, and it works on WordPress and MediaWiki and Magento and Joomla and Laravel, and Censys says like 1.5 million servers are running a version with no fix, so the NSA was like "take your system offline," and the FBI was like "take your system offline," and CISA and the UK and CERT-EU were all like "take your system offline," and then the Prime Minister of Japan, the actual Prime Minister, posted at 5:55 in the morning telling 48.8 million people to take their system offline, so everyone took their system offline, like the Dutch cybersecurity agency took its own website offline, and the Dutch parliament went offline, and the Port of Rotterdam went offline, and Finland and France and Denmark started pulling government sites, and Wikipedia went down, and Archive.org went down, and Asana and GOG and Something Awful went down, and the University of Vienna's webmail went down for some reason, and that's just PHP. Because GitLab also dropped a CVSS 10.0, which is the highest score they give out, for a bug that's been there since 2014, so that's every self-hosted GitLab for twelve years, and then LiteLLM 1.107.0 got hijacked and shipped a credential stealer and a remote access trojan in every single wheel and the Docker images, including latest, and you didn't even have to import it, just installing it was enough, and it's the second time this year, and then Railway paused every deployment on the entire platform because someone got into the environment variables, so now everyone has to rotate every secret they've ever stored there, and TiDB Cloud said someone was walking around inside with stolen credentials for basically a month and an extortion group says they took 10.6 terabytes, and Zeabur got breached for the second time in two months and is just shutting down, like the whole company, and Node.js patched remote code execution and a TLS bypass, and CISA says Plex is being actively exploited, and someone took over 300 Tor exit relays to steal SSH passwords, and SafePay ransomware has hit over 600 critical infrastructure orgs, and India's biggest bank filed a data loss incident, and Japan has been in an official state of emergency in cyberspace since October 9, which honestly explains the 5:55 AM post. Oh, and eMudhra, a certificate authority that's issued over 60 million certificates, whose entire job is proving websites are who they say they are, was supposed to be using private keys that are random numbers over a hundred digits long, and one of them was 4. Just 4. And the others were like 66 and 237. Anyway, it's Wednesday.
We've been cooking up something absolutely extraordinary for on demand events.

The card recognition model behind RiftSight is now open source as riftsight-vision!
It includes two small models that find and name cards in videos/streams, labels + a labeling tool, a browser runtime, and a guide so you can create your own model and extension for your card game.
Code: github.com/ryangswe/riftsigh…
Demo: ryangswe.github.io/riftsight…

Can't read that card? Hover it.
RiftSight 0.12.0 lets you hover cards in Riftbound videos and streams, including new cards from Radiance!
🎮 Play on @PlayRiftatlas: live deck tracker
📺 Watch: hover cards in videos and streams
🎥 Stream: share your deck with viewers with RiftSight

I see people arguing with each other in such bad faith. The reality of the RC changes in that they happened about 2 weeks before the first event after people spent 100s of hours on expected meta and testing. You can make these changes but the timing is atrocious and that's the biggest complaint. Trying to make it about balance / EV etc anything other than that is just disingenuous
My opinion on RC changes:
- top58 draft good for competitive nature of RC
- no conceding rule is based but also not enforcable and will fail
- set 1/2 legends should also have best ofs at RC for open metagame
- open decklists are based but redundant, showing your legend is enough

Not sure yet if I like this or not, but the timing of the announcement is the main issue
We had a very clear prizing structure when they announced it in July, and some people have been prepping their OGN/SFD metal decks since then. Now they're simply cooked with 3 weeks left before the event?
‼ Riftbound Regional Championship Best-Of Adjustments ‼
Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends will now be rewarded based on overall tournament performance.
The top 58 finishers will draft from the available Overnumbered Foil Plated Legends in finishing order, beginning with 1st place and continuing until all 58 Legends have been selected.

By the way; You can’t have a policy to not ban cards before important events and do this out of nowhere before the most important event of the year.
This changes a lot how you deckbuild and acts as a super-ban.
This in addition that we are in one of the unhealthiest meta ever.

While the new changes for the RC for best ofs is interesting and perhaps even good, why are we still doing this at the RC level. A lot of testing went into some good legends from set 1-3 and this feels a bit punishing. At least bring the best ofs back for those sets for the RC

Sharing decks in Discord just got a lot nicer 👀
Paste a Piltover Archive deck link and it unfolds into the deck's card, shows if it's legal ✅ and gives you buttons to view it, open it in the Deck Builder or grab proxies 🃏

The May update that became a September and then an October update has become a 2026 update.
If they just put an article on their thoughts during each of these planned updates that got missed that'd probably be fine but this is just incompetence
