I never really had the chance to speak about the Abstract wind-down, at least not to fully express my dissatisfaction and heartbreak over how everything unfolded. I felt so misused and disheartened. Or was I wrong to feel that way? Well, I didn't speak up because I've always believed that whatever happens is part of God's will. We never expected this, nor did we see it coming. We gave our best to bring that consumer chain to life. I wasn't even an XP farmer tho I burned my earnings for it; but I focused on making an impact irl with the chain. So, why am I writing this now? Because I've come across posts from people defending what Igloo and Luca did, claiming it was the right thing to do. Lol. Quote me on this: Abstract is the first ecosystem I've seen wind down without rewarding its users after promising them success. Every other ecosystem that has shut down gave back something to its users, even if it wasn't worth the effort they put in. At least they didn't just walk away silently. What Abstract has done is like turning on the gas and waiting for a lighter to ignite everything. Watch out, because more projects may start doing the same thing now that Abstract has seemingly gotten away with it. How can anyone justify what happened as the best thing to do? Are you telling me that two years of people's efforts can simply be thrown away and fucked up to make way for the success of another so-called product built on the same promises? How can you trust a project that has shown it's capable of doing this once? In my opinion, if they can do this, they can do something even worse. I took my time to unfollow those people. I want nothing to do with that kind of mindset in my TL, and I hope the system eventually catches up with those responsible and those who continue to justify what happened. Regardless, I want to appreciate everyone I met through Abstract. Everyone I've built with, learned from, and will always love to be around. Everyone who was also hurt and discouraged by what Abstract did. @rainyrael , @ZuDifferent , and @SheRocksie , you guys are legendary, putting this out here because you'll always be the best to me. @johnjassper, @SHOTDONI , @Soulonchain_, my frens at Abstract Africa and Abstract Nigeria, and everyone else outside these circles, big ups to you all. Thank you for the good times. I genuinely hope we can continue to enjoy more of them and grow together, regardless of what happened. Onto the next phase. I'm tired of working hard only to be cheated. Now, I want to own my own system. I want to give everything I have to something I can truly call mine. I'm stepping into a new phase, and I know nothing is going to stop me from becoming great in this space. And to you, here's my biggest piece of advice and support. ➤↓
