In a first for Sutter, Dr. Hernan Bazan and the surgery team at Sutter's CPMC used AI-assisted fusion imaging to help treat an 86-year-old patient with severely blocked arteries. There’s a larger issue here. The MA star ratings must continue to evolve. Props to @CMSGov for beginning to reduce the number of process measures do nothing for quality health outcomes. More work to be done if we truly wish to incentivize the best career for seniors.
The 2027 Star Ratings preview is open, but @CMSGov still hasn't said which measures it's using after Clover. Plans are redesigning for 2027 right now, in the dark. Run both calculations, assign the higher score & tell us the rules up front. Full story by @amylotven 👇
