The #Patriots are 4-3, after as many injuries, storylines, hard road games and wild swings in QB play some teams experience in an entire season. So … do we know how good they are? Column: bostonherald.com/2026/10/23/…

Tatum: "This ain't no fucking Shaq and Kobe. There's no beef. It's not about that. There should be more praise."
Jayson Tatum on Jaylen Brown’s “cap” response: “I don’t have any animosity or beef or ill will towards him.” Said he called and texted Brown the day the trade went down. It’s “frustrating,” he said, that talk about their relationship has “turned into this drama type of thing.”

The next time the #Patriots play, they will be 9 days away from the NFL trade deadline. The answer to what the Pats need is directly linked to how good you think they are at 4-3. So how good are they? And do we even know? Column: bostonherald.com/2026/10/23/…

Rhamondre Stevenson has accounted for 53.3% (!) of the missed tackles the #Patriots have caused in 7 games. Stevenson has 24 missed tackles forced, while Drake Maye ranks second with 7, per PFF. The Pats' RBs and WRs must do more with the ball. It's been a problem all year.

The loss in Chicago was both a representative Drake Maye game, and simultaneously the least telling game of the #Patriots season, given the TNF circumstances. So at 4-3, as Maye makes 1 big mistake in most games, do we know how good the Pats are? Column: bostonherald.com/2026/10/23/…
After an avalanche of injuries, a Jekyll-and-Hyde start from Drake Maye and a sloppy Thursday night game they framed as an identity test, the #Patriots are 4-3. They insist they know how good they are. But do we? Column, free to read: bostonherald.com/2026/10/23/…

The #Patriots asked to lose tonight. Plain and simple. Plus, Drake Maye found a rhythm getting to backyard ball, A.J. Brown needs to step up, a fundamental problem on D and more. Column from Chicago: bostonherald.com/2026/10/22/…

The #Patriots predicted the more physical team would win tonight, but Milton Williams says that didn't happen. "I definitely think we were the more physical team." And the Bears? "They were nervous over there. But they ended up closing the game." bostonherald.com/2026/10/23/…

“We were right there. Just one or two plays, and we’d be in (the locker room) celebrating,” Williams said. “That’s the NFL for you.”
