Dawn Staley shares the question every recruit should ask and almost none of them do.
"Everybody's good on the good days. It is who you can trust, who you can talk to and communicate with on your worst day."
Then she explained what she tells every recruit:
"We're gonna make you feel good during the recruiting process. You're gonna come here, we're gonna roll out the red carpet, we're gonna give you our best. Everybody's gonna do that."
Every program shows you their best - that's the easy part. But it comes down to trust.
"I want you to think about if it's 2 or 3 years down the line, when you in a slump, or when you lost a parent, or you broke up with a boyfriend, or whatever - Who's gonna get you back on course to be your talented self?"
That's the real question. Not who recruits you the hardest, but who do you trust? And who do you believe will commit to you and your future?
Everyone looks good when things are easy.
The real test is who shows up when things get hard.

The @SCNext No. 52 player and 9th ranked PG in the nation has committed to @tcuwbb.
She chose the Horned Frog program over finalists Oregon, Washington, Utah, and South Carolina.
Buse is a physical lead guard known for her ability to not only score the ball, but distribute. She rebounds well and lives at the free throw line.
This is an important sign for TCU as they’ve relied heavily on the transfer portal & international market. Buse is the highest rated American player to commit to the program out of high school under Mark Campbell.
JUST IN: West Linn senior point guard Kaylor Buse announced her college decision Monday night on KATU News, choosing TCU as the next stop in her basketball career.

“In fact, I'd go as far as saying that you can't develop gamespeed unless actual real problems of the game are present in your training environment.”
Gamespeed has become a bit of a hot topic in sports performance at this point.
In my honest opinion, most people still don't come close to understanding it as it seems as though too many in the field are still taking an asymmetrical viewpoint overly fixated just on the speeds or specific movements of the athlete without respecting the environment and its contextual problems (and the relations between the two of them).
In fact, I'd go as far as saying that you can't develop gamespeed unless actual real problems of the game are present in your training environment.
