After seeing our lineup, I genuinely doubt Aston Villa will score even one goal😂

📲 Ollie Watkins on Instagram: “Hi Villans. Firstly, I’d like to say never did I intend, nor did I imagine, my time at Aston Villa would end this way. With that being said, I’m eternally grateful for the last six years. Not only has it shaped me as a player, but as a person. We’ve been through so many ups and downs throughout my six seasons here, but one thing has never changed —I’ve given everything for this club. From my first goals in the 7-2 win against Liverpool, getting the club back into Europe, the Champions League nights at Villa Park, to that unforgettable night in Istanbul. Becoming Villa’s record Premier League goalscorer is an achievement I never thought would be possible when I signed for the club. I want to thank everyone who’s contributed to my time here — Dean Smith, Steven Gerrard and especially Unai Emery, for always believing in me. For me personally, my two children were born here in Birmingham. And to see them walk on the pitch, and you fans sing my name in the Holte End in front of them and my family, is something that will always stay with me forever. After six years, it’s time to say goodbye. I close this chapter with a heavy heart. Villa will always mean so much to me. Thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart. Ollie.” 💜

Itauma is a different class, exhaustion absolutely took over him. Fair play to hrgovic because his chin is off the charts

My unpopular opinion about Ollie Watkins. I don’t hold ANYTHING against him for not playing against Brighton. As we’ve seen with Leon Bailey, one minute you’re a star and being offered astronomical wages and the next you’re being pushed out the door on loan to Hull. Ollie has been brilliant for us BUT he has an offer of generational wealth on the table to go to Saudi Arabia that he wants to take. How many people take sick days to go to job interviews when already employed? If you have hundreds of thousand per week on the table for your family, would you play one more game against Brighton that no one will remember and risk it all? I know I wouldn’t. People always talk about loyalty in football from players but no one talks about it from clubs. Ollie has done more than we could ever ask of him for the club and he’s been paid handsomely. However, it’s a job be he’s a professional. He has no life long loyalty to Aston Villa and nor should he. I think he’s done the right thing by securing his families future ✅ #avfc

📲 Lucas Digne on Instagram: “What a journey! Dear Villans.. thank you. We’ve shared so many unforgettable moments together. The highs, the lows. But through it all, we stayed together until the very end. After every victory, we had our little ritual — a moment I’ll always cherish. From day one, you made me and my family feel at home. Over these four years, I grew as a player, as a man, and somehow.. I became one of you. Winning the Europa League together is a memory I’ll carry with me forever. I’m so grateful to have shared this journey with you. Now it’s time for me to start a new chapter. Maybe one day you’ll forget me.. I won’t. Thank you for everything. Up the Villa.” 💜

Or your rational substitutions and decisions to stick to the same 11 cost us the world cup?
🚨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Tuchel: “Saka was excellent. He was ready to go in the World Cup but I still felt a responsibility to take it slow with Bukayo [due to his recent injury]”. “It was a tough decision to leave him out of the semi-final”, says via @henrywinter.

Spains midfield are quality, if we get to the final with them then the lads have got to show some serious heart and grit to get over the line
