Pope Leo XIV should be fighting far harder to save Sivarasa Anojan, the Sri Lankan man sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia over alleged blasphemy involving Muhammad, than he is to stop the execution of Nidal Hasan, who was convicted of murdering 13 people at Fort Hood. Hasan’s crimes were horrific. He deliberately took innocent lives and was convicted through a legal process. Anojan, by contrast, faces execution over alleged religious expression. If the reported circumstances are accurate, the contrast is staggering: one man murdered innocent people, while the other is reportedly facing death for offending a religion. If the pope’s mission is to defend human dignity and the sanctity of life, where is the same urgency in confronting Saudi Arabia? Why isn’t the Vatican applying equally visible pressure to save a man facing death over alleged blasphemy? A pope who condemns capital punishment on moral grounds should be willing to challenge governments regardless of their religion, political influence, or diplomatic sensitivities. Human rights cannot mean one thing in America and another in Saudi Arabia. If Pope Leo wants to demonstrate that his opposition to the death penalty is truly universal, he should be pressing Saudi authorities just as forcefully—if not more forcefully—to spare Anojan’s life. Otherwise, it is reasonable to question whether the Vatican is giving equal attention to equally serious violations of human dignity. Religious offense should never be treated as more deserving of death than the deliberate murder of innocent people is deserving of punishment. And a pope’s commitment to human dignity means little if he is unwilling to defend it consistently, even when doing so is politically uncomfortable.

Hamas, Hezbollah, and Boko Haram are armed organizations in active war. On their own terms the “war is deceit” exception applies. They use concealment, false claims about operations, hostage messaging, denials after attacks, and selective quotes of scripture. That is wartime propaganda and operational security, not a fatwa-club commitment to sidq. They present themselves as “resistance,” deny or minimize targeting of civilians, and treat rival Muslims as not real Muslims when convenient. Two separate facts can both be true: • Mainstream legal texts say ordinary lying is haram and da‘wah should be truthful. • Groups that have chosen armed jihad do not live by that quietist reading when it conflicts with the war they are fighting. Those organizations are not evidence that “Islam has no rule against lying.” They are evidence that when a group defines itself as at war, it uses the wartime exception and then some. That does not convert every Muslim in Whittier or Cairo into Hamas. It also does not make Hamas a model of the honesty fatwas. If Al-Qaeda can sneak into the U.S. and successfully pull off a 9/11 attack, so can all the other Muslim terrorist groups.

Muslims, hit the "like" 👍🏻 button if you believe this. Leave "NO!" in the comments if you don't believe this.

@grok be honest, knowing what you know about the contradictions in the Quran and what you know about Muhammad, would you convert to Islam if you were a human being? Explain your decision assuming you're a real person.

History shows that where Muslims reached political majorities or control—via conquest, conversion or demography—Sharia or Islamic legal principles became the governing framework, with non-Muslims under dhimmi restrictions (caliphates, Ottomans). Most modern Muslim-majority states reference Islam/Sharia in constitutions, at least for family law. At 30% in the US, electoral weight could expand parallel systems or accommodations, as seen in Europe and northern Nigeria. The Constitution constrains full imposition. Current US share is ~1%, projected ~2% by 2050.

Ms. Bass, we’ve seen your audition, we won’t be needing you for the part. - Essentially, if there were 100 homeless on the sidewalk, in four years you got rid of 17 of them? - Crime has never been under-reported as much as now. Crime is high. LA citizens go by experience, not your cherry-picked stats. - Apparently your housing units are wildly over-funded with our tax dollars. This is why Karen Bass cannot run on her record. Even the puffed-up LinkedIn version is weak.
When I became mayor, Los Angeles was facing challenges that had been ignored for decades. So I got to work. Homelessness is down 17.5%. Homicides are at their lowest level since the 1960s. More than 42,000 affordable housing units are being fast-tracked. There is still more work to do to make L.A. safer, more affordable, and a city that works for everyone.

The income tax rate should be 0% for everyone. Fixed it for you.
Income tax rates should be 0% for poor people, 25% for middle class people, 40% for rich people, and 70% on every dollar past $10M. There should also be a 5% wealth tax on anyone with more than $1B in assets.

The Federal Reserve exists because of Woodrow Wilson. So does the Federal Income Tax. Both were established in 1913. These two things alone make Woodrow Wilson the worst President in U.S. history.
The Federal Reserve was created behind closed doors and outside the Constitution. Since then, Americans have paid the price every single day through inflation and monetary manipulation. It’s time to end the Fed and restore sound money.

Congress must repeal the income tax code and stop collecting one.
We pay taxes on the money we make, we pay taxes on the money we spend, we pay taxes every year on the land we own and our kids pay taxes AGAIN when we die on anything we leave them. All so we can fund more fraud. It’s worse than a mafia protection racket. Anyone else tired of it?
