I don't think a lot of people realise how massive Powys is as a county - here is a comparison with the US state of Texas

None of this suggests the tech industry is in a healthy financial state...
When the most cash generating businesses the world has ever seen can't sustain an investment from their own cash flow, you know they're stuffed...
🦔Meta wants to raise at least $20 billion in new bonds, in dollars and euros, with some running as long as 38 years. That comes a week after it announced plans to sell up to about $97.5 billion in new stock. Meta burned $2.12 billion in cash last quarter, and S&P moved its outlook to negative on Friday. Alphabet and Oracle went to the markets for money today too.
My Take
Selling bonds that run for decades to help pay for chips that wear out in five or six years is a strange match, and Meta will still owe on that debt long after today’s GPUs end up in a landfill. All that new stock dilutes everyone who already owns Meta, which includes most people with an index fund. Alphabet and Oracle doing the same thing on the same day makes me think Big Tech can’t fund this buildout from its own cash anymore.

Sam Altman thinks RAM sitting in personal computers is a waste when it could be put to better use in data centers.
Weird. I was just thinking that all those billions sitting in billionaires’ bank accounts could be put to much better use in our communities.

Here’s another clip of a woman reading Trump’s words verbatim from a recent rally in Mississippi that puts a giant magnifying glass over how gone he is cognitively and unfit he is for office.

Ah man 😔
All at Huddersfield Town are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of lifelong supporter Sir Patrick Stewart. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this sad time.
A titan of his craft and a legend and hero to millions worldwide, his legacy will live on. Fiercely proud of his Yorkshire roots, Sir Patrick was a Terrier in every sense, and we’re proud to have counted him as one of our own.
Once a Terrier, always a Terrier 💙

Dot Com Crash behavior all over again. If you believe $ANT only spent $9B to get that revenue you might as well buy its valuation at $4T

If you've got a pension - Try to move it to a fund that's got minimal stocks and bonds related to AI.
