Recent paper led by PhD student @bailinxie from @_FamiliesLab in collaboration with @Charlie_Rioux @CatherineALebel @ltomfohr et al. showing that relationship satisfaction 🧑🏼❤️🧑🏾 predicts later mental health in pregnancy🫄🏽

ALT Relationship quality and mental health during pregnancy
ALT 1842 pregnant individuals surveyed monthly from April-July 2020 on the romantic relationship satisfaction and mental health (depression/anxiety). Relationship satisfaction predicted later depression and anxiety symptoms, but depression and anxiety symptoms did not predict later relationship satisfaction. Implications. Relationship enhancement interventions during pregnancy may help improve mental health in pregnancy.

Congratulations to Dr. Leslie Roos, who recently received $1.25 million from @CIHR_IHDCYH to prioritize mental health in children! The 5-year project will utilize the BEAM program to improve the well-being of children born during a global pandemic to highly stressed parents.
We are excited to share our new publication! This open-pilot trial investigated initial evidence for the feasibility, acceptability, and efficacy of the Building Emotional Awareness and Mental Health (BEAM) program for mothers of infants. @HeartsMindsLab
