The thing I love about hxh is how Togashi has written a well-rounded world where the MCs feel like just one part of it rather than the center of everything. The other characters aren't just there to make our MCs shine. They have their own identity and story and It's beautiful.

Why do people mischaracterize Ging so badly? He literally embodies absolute freedom and the pursuit of the unknown. The very core definition of what a Hunter is (“enjoy the little detours”).
It’s so frustrating watching a deeply complex character get mischaracterised…
I also recently wonder if the bottomless malice within the human race that Netero refers to Pariston.
We’ve effectively seen his “superpower” so far as being able to wield people’s own insufficiencies (Cheadle/Mizai) and flaws (Netero/Teradein) against them. It can expand.
