One rule we hold on tokenised trade finance: the token has to point to something you can go and look at. For us that's physical goods in a bonded warehouse. If there's no real cargo behind it, it's just a nicer spreadsheet 😅

A lot of trade doesn't fail for lack of orders. It stalls in the wait between shipping the goods and getting paid for them. That wait is the problem we're going after with trade tokenisation at WeWire. So pumped about the next deals we will be listing on the platform

F1 taught me something about building. The fastest car on Saturday doesn't always win. The team that keeps finding a tenth every week, quietly, usually does. Most of building a company feels like that. Small gains nobody claps for.

Years in payments ops taught me most problems aren't technical. They're communication problems. A delayed transfer is stressful. A delayed transfer with no update is how you lose a client. The update is part of the product.

The more cross-border trade I see, the clearer it gets. Most businesses aren't short of buyers or goods. They're short of cash while the deal sits waiting to settle. That's the gap we're building trade tokenisation and trade finance at WeWire to close.

we've processed $3B+ in cross-border payments for 4,000+ businesses at @usewewire. the biggest thing that volume taught us is that payments are the last mile of trade. before a business can send a payment, it has to find the money to buy the goods.
