ECU Adapted PE class made it out to volunteer at the Bocce Ball Tournament hosted by Special Olympics. It was a chilly start that turned into a beautiful sun shining day. Thank you to all Kinesiology students who made it out! Always looking to connect students with the community.
The Adapted PE class had fun playing modified games. Learning how to adjust activities to include all is important & teaches the idea of making accommodations for individuals in other professional areas such as PT, OT, & personal training. @ECUKines Let's get everyone moving!
Hoping I chose the right, right. 🤔 Decisions are hard when both options lead to good. Blessed to have options.
This "shadow" is experiencing a good variety of situations. Making future caree plans. #AT #Healthcare
Participating in the virtual #RONY2022 Symposium today. Grateful for opportunities to continue learning and updating knowledge! @RothmanOrtho @EbpCentral @spearptnyc @Ath_Warehouse
Asked students to think of a good leader they know and to write two characteristics of that leader. Here are the results. Encouraging and understanding were the top 2. Zoom in for more. @ECUKines
ALT Sticky notes with words that describe a good leader
Care & Prevention class - here is a real world ankle injury. What would you do if you saw this happen on the field? @ECUKines
Teaching how cooperation and competition look different with a puzzle activity. #psychologyofsport @ECUKines
Back on the field where the AT world all began for me. This time for a HS scrimmage. Got to share the sideline with my nephew who is shadowing, considering a career in AT or PT.
This is a great idea! I wonder what has happened with this since the design competition. #ImproveCommunication
Inspirational. Reminds me of Dr. Priest @priestful
Attention - Adapted PE class

One of the cooler things I’ve ever seen in a game. Tulsa little leaguer gets hit by a pitch … then goes over to console & reassure the opposing pitcher that he’s ok. Man …
Love this!
Had an umpire growing up who also happened to be my bus driver and eventually my algebra II teacher. He was great. #MrScroggins

Williams is known for calling games unlike any other, lifting up kids on the field and lighting up their families in the stands.
