No new RFK stadium on the NCAA’s list of finalists to host the 2032-36 Final Fours. Denver and Kansas City are. Both are building new stadiums targeted to open in 2031, a year AFTER the Commanders’ new stadium is scheduled to open. Mayor Bowser pitched the partly taxpayer-funded stadium as a magnet for major sporting events. A source told me the Commanders are “disappointed” but ultimately its District’s job to attract major events. A Mayor’s spokesperson referred questions to Events DC.
The finalists are set 🏆🏀 The DI Men’s Basketball Committees have named seven finalist cities to host the 2032-36 Final Fours. The host cities will officially be announced in July 2027 following the final selection process. 🔗 on.ncaa.com/fgbottcf #MFinalFour

Sidney Stewart on if Mike Locksley’s departure makes him re-evaluate his future: “I think that’s a pretty obvious answer that, yes, I have to re-evaluate the future. But ultimately, I got five more games to play. … All I got to do is attack these last five games.”

The Wizards battled but couldn't quite rally against the Raptors, losing by 10. Washington committed 20 turnovers. Brian Keefe emphasized "this is a new team," but that number felt reminiscent of last season's struggles. Story on the loss: washingtonpost.com/sports/20…
